Reunion Game!
Posted Saturday, May 16, 2009 08:58 PM

THE GAME HAS BEGUN on our 20th Reunion Website.

Check often to see the latest entries.

RULES: Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a note in the Message Forum with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about youself. At the end, choose someone else from the reunion website to be tagged. If I tagged you, its because I want to know more about you. We once knew pretty much everything about each other, now . . . not so much.

Anybody been in an earthquake? Whale watching? Grow jalapenos? Grey's Anatomy fan? Season tickets to ball games? Have 10 children? Weigh what they did in high school? Weigh twice what they did in high school? By-pass surgery? Lasik?

See, we aren't movie stars and didn't grow up to be president, either, and that's okay. We want to know you again and be friends. Hope you join the fun.

Ok - I will start...but I will hunt the rest of you down to do the same!!

1. My real middle name is Pebbles – it is on my birth certificate. It was great in Elementary School and I hated it after that until I was in my late teens...when I tattooed Pebbles on my ankle. My Aunt Eydie still calls me that and my license plate used to have it.

2. I have 3 children. Melissa (20) is a science geek and getting closer to be a pharmacist every day, Michael (18) is being the teenager I was which scares the hell out of me, and Emily (6) who is too smart for her own good.

3. I am an only child.

4. I went from not even having a checking account and owing tens of thousands of dollars to buying a house in less than 2 years.

5. Larry is my soulmate - we fight like an old married couple but he is my world and keeps me grounded.

6. I never thought I would lose such a close work friend to cancer then become such close friends with his wife. Thanks Danny.

7. I love my job. It is stressful because the fate of the company depends on us selling - but I wouldn't want another career.

8. I am a computer geek. And I only own a Mac because my boss is an even bigger geek.

9. I love to do nothing on Sundays.

10. My hair color is naturally black – except for the greys that I wash out every 6 weeks.

11. I hate doing laundry.

12. I have a 2005 GMC Envoy and it’s the best vehicle I have ever had.

13. I will never forget the summer of 1987. Allison and me were never the same.

14. All three of my kids were born on their due date.

15. I love playing pool and used to be real good but hate the crowd that comes with it.

16. My favorite movie when I was a teenager was Eddie and The Cruisers. I taped the whole thing on cassette and knew every word.

17. I have had the same dream hundreds of times since my children were born – that one of them fell into Niagara Falls while sight seeing. Everytime we go to Niagara Falls my kids have red marks on their wrists from me holding them so tight. And I don’t let them go to the edge.

18. We camp almost every weekend in the summer.

19. I love photography and take my camera everywhere. I have THOUSANDS of digital pictures.

20. I have struggled with my weight for the last 10 years – I love food.

21. I love 80s and 90s metal but won’t listen to any new stuff – it gives me a headache. I only listen to new country. I think that is a sign of old age.

22. I didn't finish high school and I used to regret it - but my life is great and I wouldn't change a thing.

23. I wanted to be a teacher and finished 3 years of college...then I bought a computer.  I now sell technology and learn something new everyday.  Anyone need a new IP based phone system?

24.  I want my next family trip to be to the Bahamas.

25. 20 years ago I never would have thought that I would be helping with the reunion and having fun with it!

Had some free time this morning. Thought i'd jump in and tag someone else! :), But first, Suz.....i'm sure i speak for all of us when i say "wow!", you have been simply amazing with the time and dedication you've put into helping all of us prepare to have an amazing reunion, Thank you.

Here goes......

1. My real middle name is Lyn – Though I have always pretty much been Jeri Lyn to my family as my grandma was Gerry. To most everyone at school I was always just Jeri.  I hated my name in elementary school as everyone used to tease it was a boys name, and accompanied by my mom parting my hair to one side like davey in the cartoon davey and goliath, i was pretty much destined for tomboy treatment :)  Since I've graduated highschool and going forward into my professional work, I'm only known as Jeri Lyn.

2. I have 3 children. Taylor (16) who loves ballroom dancing and is planning on attending UB Medical school to become an anethesiologist, Cassidy(13)looking forward to attending BOCES LPN program then continuing college to become an RN and her aspirations are to become a neonatal nurse and work in the NICU, and Jillian (5)which we call our crystal child, one that is filled with so much love and joy that it feels almost fairytale like to have a child so filled with that much love, she brightens every moment of everyday.

3. I am the oldest of 3 biological children and an adopted brother. My family adopted my brother Joe from Korea in 1985. Many of you might remember I brought him in for my public speaking project in Mrs. Murphy's class.  He was 3 at the time. I have pictures of him in my locker holding a yellow hall pass.

4. My house burned down in 1999. We lost everything

5. We experienced a miracle in 2005. My daughter was hit by a ford F150 pickup truck on Lincoln Avenue when crossing to walk to skateland a few doors down from where we lived.  She rolled up onto the hood of the truck and was thrown 6 feet.  She walked away with an 18" brush burn on the left side of her body and a broken thumb.

6. Dave Rohde.....My highschool sweetheart. Still my sweetheart.  Many people teased that Dave and I wouldn't last two weeks.  True that we had a tough time facing the adolescent world of new love and evolving into adulthood, but I'm proud of who we have become as best friends, confidants, parents, each others cheering team when were up, each other's shoulder when were down.

7. I am a world wide recognized Medium and ANGEL THERAPY PRACTITIONER certified by world renowned author and psychic/medium Dr. Doreen Virtue Ph.d.  I don't push my spiritual work on anyone, instead I allow people to come to me if they seek out assistance.  I am basically an intuitive spiritual advisor. I have performed readings for people in Instanbul, Turkey, Singapore, United Kingdom, British Columbia, Ireland, Switzerland, and of course throughout the United States.  I am a reputable member of the local psychic community and currently maintain a 100% positive 5 star feedback rating on my website and e-bay

8. I am enrolling this year with the Amercian Institute of Holistic Theology to pursue my bachelor's degree in para psychic science. I was always the one that could make the ouija board work easily as a teenager...now i know why! :)

9. When I'm not doing readings or scheduling spiritual work, I work at Olive Garden as a Server / Server Trainer. It pays the bills and give us extra saving and spending $$.

10. I'm a huge FOX 24 Fan! I love Keifert Southerland. GO JACK!

11. We love Seneca Niagara Casino. We call it therapy. Ca-ching!

12. I drive a 2004 Kia Sedona WHITE Mini Van with one Gold Pin Stripe around it. Its got a white healing angel graphic on the back window with my website www.myspiritlink.com.  I've sworn to remove the " I SEE ANGELS" decal OFF OF IT! :) It's cute, i'm ready to move on from cute though!

13. I will never forget the swim meet at Lewport 11th grade, where I was forced to do the required reverse dive which was my absolute most dreaded dive, and almost hit the board, i think that was my last meet. You won't catch me willingly in a bathing suit today, let alone on a diving board! :)

14. Our son has met his girlfriend this year....They've hit it off great, she's a beautiful young lady....will history repeat itself? Could she be his wife!?!? She already calls me "mom".

15. My favorite movie of all time is SERENDIPITY.

16. I think I'm boring. I'm having trouble filling out these 25 fun & unique details of my life! :)    I'm just kidding, I'm actually quite personable, have made friends quite easily throughout my adulthood, and have so many talents, i usually don't know what to do first.

17. I'm a songwriter. I've written numerous songs probably have 10.  You can find some of them at www.myspace.com/jerilynmusic. I only have a couple listed there right now. It hasn't really been updated with full compositions lately.  I'm currently working on a song with a nashville songwriter.  We've co-written a song for Children's Hospital.  Hey, you might see it on the telethon or maybe in segments at a sabres game...I'll keep you posted.

18.  In 2005 I won a $5,000.00 GRANDPRIZE Trip to New York City's CMA Awards for writing a song about why I love CREME SAVERS and COUNTRY MUSIC.  I won 4 days and 3 nights in NYC at the Marriott Marquis in Time Square. 2 tix to the CMA Awards, 2 Tix to The Lion King, 2 Tix to the Rockettes christmas show, 2 tix to a songwriters event with the big songwriters that write for the country singers. 2 (4) hour guided tours of NYC including ground zero, 2 tix to Wynonna Judds private after party PLUS round trip airfare.  What an amazing week! And I had my picture taken with a NAKED COWBOY playing a guitar! :) What a Character!

19. I love country music.  I a big fan of Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Rascall Flatts, Kelly Pickler, Brad Paisley, Chris Cagle, Phil Vassar and More. But with 3 kids in the house, hip hop, highschool musical, disney, and other traditional rock makes it into our house too.

20. I marry people.  Yes, I'm an officially ordained Wedding Officiant.  I have performed weddings in Missouri and New York State.  I intuitively create unique wedding ceremonies based on the bride and groom's personalities, making for one of a kind ceremonies that really cater to the wedding couple.

21. I fell inside a Tim Hortons Christmas eve and am still currently undergoing medical treatment for injuries i sustained in the fall.  I've undergone physical therapy, MRI's, ultra sound hip injections, now aquatic therapy and chiropractic care, it's been  a long process that i'm hoping to move from very soon!

22. I make jewlery.

23. When I was in 10th grade, my dream career was to become a marine biologist and swim with  the whales at seaworld. The closest I ever got was a day trip to discovery cove and a dolphin pulled me into shore. :)

24.  I'd like to visit hawaii someday.

25. 20 years ago I never would have thought that I would watch my son sit behind the wheel of a car and drive me somewhere, that i could look in my husbands eyes and love him as much and more than i did than when we met in 1986. I never thought I'd be sitting here wondering what all of my friends have been up to for 20 years.  Can't wait to see you all.

SCOTT SANFORD.......I TAG YOU!!!!!!

1.  After HS, I attended UB with the intent to become a pharmacist.

2.  Apparently, that was not a very good plan!  Left UB after 3 semesters (I think) and took a year or so off school.  I went back to NCCC in the radiologic technology program where I learned the medical field was just not for me!  On the advice of my manager my HS part time job (where I was still working while in college), I went into business, completed my AAS, transferred back to UB and completed my BS.

3.  While at UB, I met my husband.  We started dating when I was 20 and got married when I was 24.

4.  My husband and I celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary this year.

5.  I have two wonderful kids - Owen just turned 10 and Julia will be 7 next month.

6.  I'm a soccer mom!  Owen has played soccer for 5 years.  His favorite position to play is goalie, which is very nerve-racking for me.

7.  Julia is my little ballerina.  She is in her 4th year of lessons at LKPT City Ballet.

8.  Both kids are also playing Little League for the first time.  We're spending a lot of time at the ball fields!

9.  My husband just started UB's accelerated BSN program and will have his nursing degree in 12 months.

10.  My kids go to Washington Hunt Elementary, just like I did... with the children of my WH/EB/LSHS classmates.

11.  I currently work as a VP, HR for a local property management company.  I've been here for 9 years, and I like my job because every day is different!

12.  I love to cook, but don't really get a lot of time (especially during the week) to get to extravagant.  I do tend to go all out when I cook holiday dinners for my family.

13.  My family has just taken up snowboarding.  I am by far the worst snowboarder in my family.  It is SO MUCH harder than it looks!

14.  I'm the treasurer of the PTA at WH.

15.  I live about 2 blocks away from the house that I grew up in... and my parents still live there.

16.  I truly cannot believe that I'm almost 40.  Most of the time, I still feel about 25.

17.  I've been bitten by the Facebook bug.  I fought it for a while, and then finally caved.  I admit that I LOVE IT!  It's been fun to reconnect with my old friends!

18.  I'm not sure I'm all that interesting to come up with more things to say about myself so I'm breaking the rules and stopping at 18!  :)

Thought of a few more things:

19. I have braces!  I've been in braces for 2+ years, and am praying to the gods of orthodontia that I get them off before the reunion.

20.  My sister and brother still live in Lockport; in fact, my mom watches both my and Liz's kids over the summer.  I love that my kids get to be so close with their cousins.

21.  I love shoes.  I have an enormous shoe collection.  Probably more then 200 pairs.  It's kinds embarrassing saying it outloud!

22.  I'm a major bargain shopper.  I grocery shop with coupons, and hit the sale racks.  It pains me to have to purchase something at full price!

23.  My husband and I have vacationed quite a bit to Jamaica.  Love it there.... he scuba dives while I read on the beach.  Perfect!

24.  Cannot wait to take the kids to Disney next year.  We plan to go when DH finished nursing school.

25.  I'm done!

I'm tagging SAMIR SHAH!!!

RE: Reunion Game!
Posted Wednesday, May 20, 2009 10:13 AM

All right, I'm in...  I'm going to try a little different start.

1.  Craig Nunnari and I were always in the front row of every class picture all the way through Elementary school.  We were definitely among the vertically challenged.  Mark Killroy even nick named me "Little Hall".

2.  I miss playing football before and after school at Roy B Kelly, though the ice in the winter time was a bit rough.  Any body remember how many footballs Mrs. Smith confiscated in those years?

3.  I do not miss Mr. Dan Dee's science classes at Emmet Belknap.  However, when we shorted out the electric in the class room and sent a look of shock across Holly Moore's face as the arch of electricity shot across the room was pretty cool.

4.  The parties in the air plane hanger as we "built our float" / got drunk, was a nice finishing touch to a memorable trip through public schools.

5.  First year of College at RIT with Mike Lippa, Cindi Hofner, and Rick Remmele was a blast.  College actually started off pretty good as for grades, then I enjoyed the drinking part way to much and finally finish many years later with a BFA in Industrial Design.

6.  Attempted to work 2 full time jobs after college.  One with RIT in the SAU and the other as a draftsman at a local Architectural firm in Rochester.  This only took a few months before burning out and deciding to start my life in architecture.

7.  After only 2 years at NH Architecture, I thought it smart to chase a girl to her home country of New Zealand.  After 7 days in Auckland New Zealand we broke up and I was homeless.  This turned into one of my best life lessons.  As many know I tend to learn things the hard way.  Many great stories to share from my 6 month stay in one of the most amazing countries.

8.  Came back to Rochester and went directly back into building design.  That was the beginning of a 10 year focus on practicing Architecture.  I spent countless hours berried in my work designing night and day.

9.  I even started an architectural & Engineering firm with a good friend in Rochester called LeChase Design Services.  This only lasted a couple years.

10.  Getting tired of chasing over due clients and the next job I realized there was not much money to be had on the design side of construction in the upstate area.  I then went to the construction side as a design team manager.  I landed on a large demolition project at Kodak called the Foot Print Reduction Program.  This lasted 4 years as we demolished 38 buildings in Rochester, relocated 5 million square foot of manufacturing and office space, helped with similar efforts for Kodak world wide, but unfortunately I received a first hand look at where our economy was headed.

11.  During this period I married my best friend, an amazing woman, Jennifer.  She is a fantastic elementary school teacher with the Irondiquoit school district.  What I have seen her accomplish over the years with school, family, work, and just simply life issues has been amazing.  I love her with all my heart.

12.  As Architecture still burned inside of me, I decided to transform a 1910 farmers retirement bungalow into the house Jenn and I would raise our family in.  It is located on North West Side of Rochester in a little town called Parma.

13.  Demo started at the house when our first beautiful little girl, Jacie (Jay-see) Linn, was born.  we brought her home from the hospital to a pull behind trailer parked in the side yard.  5 and 1/2 months of a screaming colicky baby trapped in a tiny trailer was a feet in itself.  There, was a decision I would probably rethink  if I were able to do it again.

14.  We moved in as soon as the drywall dust settled.  We did not care that it was only 50% done.  We had had enough of the trailer.

15.  About 18 months into this seemingly endless project, we had our second beautiful little girl, Jordyn Elizabeth.  A sister, Jacie was not yet prepared for.  She asked for a brother.  Now 2years old and 6 months old, you can see the bond growing between them.  Polar opposites, brown hair brown eyes and blond hair blue eyes.

16.  We are still continuing our efforts in completing the house.  This has definitely been one of my most challenging architectural clients to date, but we are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

17.  Told my wife I want to get a miniature donkey to raise out back just so I can name my little barn "Hall's Big Ass Farm".  Although Jenn brought 3 chickens home from school and we only have one left, so maybe raising animals is not my forte.

18.  By the way, I named the chickens Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.  You figure out why we only have 1 left.

19.  Meanwhile, I moved into a Quality Management position with a large construction company that has been a very rewarding venture.  It has me traveling a bit, but keeps me in the field of building buildings.

20.  I still spend much of my summers at Sherkston windsurfing, kayaking, water skiing, and playing volleyball.

21.  My father is still clowning around, but I have not performed since 2002.

22.  Yes, I have continued the trend of family names that start with a 'J'.  Though, I do not think we can have to many more kids because we are running out of 'J' names that we like and have not been over used.  Plus, I am getting old.

23.  There are not to many things I have not tried so far in my life, but I would like to take my family on a few adventures as time goes by.

24.  Disappointed to see how time slips by un-noticed, but excited to wake up each day to find what is around the next corner.

25.  As my 2 year old likes to say "Life is bud a deem" (life is but a dream).

Andrew Hagen, You have a gaggle of kids.  Why don't you share how you have managed.

16. My undergrad degree was in Elementary Ed.  I subbed for a while and decided against that career path.

17. I belong to a dive club even though I'm a land-lover.  (Jokingly referred to within the group as the "coast guard".)  I say.... someone has to be sure the beer is cold when the crew comes up.  :)

18. I've had accupuncture.

19. I still don't like raw tomatoes.  (Some things you do NOT out grow.)

20. My dad died when I was 30.

21. I'd like to live someplace warmer.  All in time...

22. My husband and I have a full sized schhol bus (painted shamrock green) with a deck on top and a tiki bar inside.  It has been in several of the last Rochester St. Patty's Day Parades.

23. I've never been bitten by a snake

24. I'm growing peanuts, tomaotoes, potatoes, and garlic in my garden this year, and an orange tree in my house.

25. I'm thankful for spell check, because I am not the best typist!

Can't wait to see everyone!

I tag Suzette Rutherford.  :)

Thanks Joel - you're a real pal!  As you mentioned,

  1. I have four kids.  The first three are girls and #4 is a boy - Miranda is 13, Caroline is 9, Erin is 7 and Patrick is 3.   Erin was born on Kurt DeWitt's birthday - December 19th - and shares his middle name, Addison.  Kurt wasn't a very good name for a girl.
  2. I married my college girlfriend.  Bridgette is from Scranton, PA and has the big job of raising the kids full time.  There isn't a bigger job anywhere.  Not even President.
  3. We live in Syracuse, NY in the city.  Our house has a front porch.  I bought that and there happened to be a house attached. The house was built in 1929 and still has the original furnace that was converted from coal to natural gas a long time ago.  It's more efficient than you would think.
  4. I have gained all sorts of skills I never knew I would need to know - carpentry, plaster, plumbing, electrical.  And painting.
  5. I still drive a station wagon.  Only instead of an Oldsmobile it's a Volvo.
  6. But last summer I bought a 1986 Porsche convertible on  a whim.  The 1986 was key because that was the year we got our driver's licenses and I wanted one more than anything.  It has lived up to my expectations.
  7. I love to read.  Only fiction, though.  The rest of life is way to serious to spend leisure time reading something serious.
  8. I have not written any books but I think I could if I tried.  It would be fiction.
  9. I only watch one tv show a week - The Office.
  10. Friends are people you can see once every ten or twenty years and it seems like you just saw them yesterday.
  11. I do not have a tatoo.
  12. I hate needles.  But I am getting better about it.
  13. I like to cook.  Everyone likes it when I make bread.  From scratch.  Without a bread machine.
  14. I like vanilla ice cream in a dish with Hershey's chocolate syrup and whipped cream.
  15. I usually choose Yuengling but I'm not picky.
  16. I am the PTA treasurer.
  17. I like most kinds of music.  I am on the board of the Syracuse Opera.
  18. My uncle got me started hunting about ten years ago.  I mostly enjoy the walking in the woods part.
  19. I have seasons tickets to Syracuse basketball.
  20. The first concert I ever went to was U2 (Joshua Tree)  in Rochester at a baseball stadium.  I went with Karl Griffin and Kevin Hicks.  Kevin's brother drove and bought the beer.  It was general admission and I walked up to and watched the show from the front row.
  21. The next concert I am going to is U2 in Boston.  I am pretty sure we aren't sitting in the front row.
  22. My work as a financial advisor is challenging.   The best part is helping every day people every day.  I've been doing the same thing for 13 years and I think this is the job for me.
  23. Some people would say I look exactly the same as I did in high school.
  24. I am not very good at spotting trends.  I never thought email would catch on, much less BlackBerries!
  25. There is no point in having speakers the size of dog houses if you don't turn up the volume loud enough that the neighbors can hear the music once in a while.

Thanks Amy.  I love this idea!

1) I love to crochet and enjoy giving my creations away.

2) I have a great sense of humor and love making people laugh.

3) My nephew Gary is one of the funniest people I know and makes me laugh everytime we are together.

4) My husband knows my deepest, darkest secrets and loves me anyways.

5) I have a hard time getting rid of stuffed animals because I still believe they have feelings.

6) My niece Amanda passed away in September 2008. Although everyone around me thinks I am strong enough to survive it, I struggle each day to try and make it through.

7) At Amanda's funeral, the minister spoke mostly about God and not much about Amanda. I got up and spoke about what a wonderful girl she is and how much I love her. Somewhere in the middle, I invited all her friends to Thanksgiving.

8) I wish I had gone to the hospital to see Amanda when my sister first called instead of 4 hours later. Although it was only pneumonia at the time and not life-threatening, I wish I had the chance to tell her I loved her before they intubated her.

9) My sister never ceases to amazes me.

10) I scrapbook my recipes but wish I had the same flair for pictures.

11) My best friend and I share the same birthday, only one year apart.

12) My two favorite physical things about me are my eyes and my smile.

13) I am afraid I will never have children all while being afraid of how my life will change if I do.

14) I can remember the lyrics to most songs no matter how long it has been since I last heard them.

15) I am afraid of drains...sink drains, tub drains, sump pumps and swimming pool drains. I bath with a bottle of shampoo blocking the drain so I don't see it.

16) I love to sing in the car and don't care who is watching.

17) I love my husband, my mom, my sister and my nephew and fear the day they are no longer with me.

18) I wish I had a relationship with my father although I know that is impossible.

19) I am afraid to be in the house alone.

20) I was hypnotized by Jay Medicine Hat once and stole the show!

21) My dreams are very vivid and sometimes predict what is going to happen.

22) I worry that I am not good enough and people will someday figure it out.

23) We have four cats.  I'm still confused about how it happened.

24) Thanks to Amy Kozlowski and 1st period Physics lab, I still love Metallica!

25) I have three tattoos (soon to be four) and actually cried while getting the last one because it hurt so damn much.

I tag Michele (Snowney) Gibson!

Okay, here it goes.  I am not encouraged that I can finish it with how many people cannot come up with 25 but I'll give it a go anyway!

1.  I moved to the Boston area 12 years ago and moved twice while here, finally settling down about 20 miles south of Boston.

2.  I've been married for nearly 17 years.

3.  I have one son who just turned 9.  He shares the same birthday as my brother.  And...he will be the ONLY child..he's wonderful and amazing, we just were happy with 1.

4.  I have been a Lifetime Weight Watchers Member for nearly 11 years.  I maintained a nearly 70 pound weight loss for all but about 3 of those 11 years and continue to do so.

5.  I love to bake...that's why #4 is even something I can write about.  I bake it and eat it and love it!!  I still bake...and I bake"good" for you stuff and "bad" for you stuff...now I just know how to handle it all.

6.  I hate onions and will not eat anything that's even been near an onion.

7.  About a year after we moved to Boston the company my husband came out to work for decided it was closing and even worse yet, I was working there too!  But, as they say...when one one chapter ends, another begins and I know it all happened for a reason.

8.  I have no idea how to swim.  I love the ocean's beauty but am scared to death of it.

9.  I love, love, love music.  Still love new wave 80's the most but have discovered all kinds of new stuff as an adult too.  I listen to a station whose tag line is, "music for the independent mind".  You will hear a Willie Nelson song then maybe a Peter Tosh song and then maybe The Decemeberists...it's all over the place and has really given me alot of appreciation for different genres.

10.  I miss WNY alot but have enjoyed living in an area where you can travel an hour or so and be in 4-5 different states.  We like southern coastal Maine the most and make make many day trips there through the summer.

11.  I am a stay at home mom.  When my son is old enough to be left alone for a bit I plan on going to Weight Watchers to work.  I started to look into it a couple years ago to start working on the weekends but they don't have alot of openings on the weekends.

12.  I have 1 cat named Doughnut.  That was her name when we adopted her.  We thought it was unique so we kept it.  Her sister, who had already been adopted, was named Munchkin.  I have a hunch the worker who took them in had recently been to Dunkin Donuts!

13.  The last time I was in WNY I bought 7 pounds of sponge candy and brought about a half tray of Pizza Oven pizza home.  You don't realize how good some of those WNY things are until you cannot get them anymore.

14.  I'm not a soccer mom but my son does do swimming and karate as his sports...those are the two things that stuck with all of the things we have tried with him.

15.  The closest Tim Horton's is just over the border in Rhode Island.  Whenever we are down that way we HAVE to get a dozen.

16.  I am realizing as I do this that I really don't have a whole lot to share here and can see why so many people did not finish!!

17.  I love BBC America...have always loved the Britcoms on PBS but love that there is a whole station of British programming.

18.  I drink diet Coke from the time I wake up to the time I go to bed...I am positively hooked on it and don't know what I would do if I was told I could never drink it again.

19.  I try to get to the gym about 3 days a week.  It's something I thought I'd never look forward to but I have learned to appreciate it.

20.  I am very grateful I have hit #20 and only have 5 more to go!

21.  I have just recently learned in the past couple of years that my stomach is not what it used to be in regards to amusement park rides.  Now that my son is old enough for the "big" rides I find that I CANNOT do spinning anymore...roller coasters are still okay though.

22.  I am a terrible procrastinator...I'm thoroughly impressed with myself that I am doing this the same day I received the message and I am like that in ALL areas of my life...why do today what you can put off until tomorrow?!?

23.  Sometimes as I'm driving around MA it all of a sudden feels weird to me, as if I just got here yesterday.  I have accepted that we will probably stick around here for quite some time but it still has never felt like "home".

24.  I still laugh to myself when I hear someone with a "wicked" bad Boston accent.  I honestly don't think I will ever get used to hearing it and hope that I have not gotten over the years.

25.  Phew...almost done!  One more thing....hmmmmm, what should it be?!?  Okay, since there's been a recurring theme of food in my list I will go with this.  I LOVE to food shop and will always seek out the food department of any kind of store I'm in.  I love places like Trader Joe's and Whole Foods that sell things that you don't find in regular food stores.

I realize I will probably think of many things after I hit submit that really would have sounded better but at least I can check this off my "to-do" list and won't put it off until after the reunion is actually over with!

I tag Kathy Sanford Craine next!!

1. My middle name is Donald. Not after the duck, after my grandfather, Donald Landrigan.

2. I am a fourth grade teacher at George Southard Elementary in Lockport. Currently I have 26 students who are ready for the summer. (So is their teacher!) It's strange because I'm at the age now where I have had some classmates' children. Man, we're getting old!

3. I married my jr. high school sweetheart, Terri Fiegl. We've been together since 1985. (Except of course for that nasty time senior year! She hates when I bring that up!) We have been through a lot together and have grown stronger as a couple because of it. I guess winning Class Couple in ninth grade was our good luck charm! We live in Lockport on Morrow Ave.

4. I have two sons, Patrick (10) and Benjamin (8). They are incredible! Enough said. Terri and I both agree, c-sections make the best babies!

5. My favorite place to vacation is Disney World. I hope to be a vacation club member some day soon. I hate the heat, but love the atmosphere.

6. I currently drive a 2009 Chevy Traverse. A long way from Agnes, my 1980 Chevette I had in high school with no floor boards, manual transmission, and roll-down windows! (Gosh, I miss that old girl!)

7. I can still do the Mr. Lisiecki shuffle.

8. I know that a donut without a hole is a danish.

9. I am the first vice president of the Lockport Education Association, which is the local teachers' union. (Jimmy Hoffa, watch out... Let's hope I don't end up where he did!) I am in my seventh year in this position.

10. I don't have as much hair as I used to.

11. The farthest I have ever been away from home was Jamaica for our honeymoon. It is a beautiful place, but a very poor country. And no, we didn't visit the "farmer".

12. I have never been drunk. I tend to be the designated driver, always have been.

13. My mother passed away five years ago from brain cancer. I miss her every day.  :(

14. My favorite restaurant is The Shamus.

15. I miss my old friends from high school and the times we had. (How did we not come in contact with the law!?!)

16. I know who Ray McKigney is. Do you?

17. I have recently discovered the genius of Family Guy. Whenever I need some mindless laughs, the Griffins fit the bill.

18. Whoever invented Ben and Jerry's chocolate fudge brownie ice cream deserves a Nobel Peace Prize.

19. I still have the same sense of humor I had in high school. I love laughing and making people laugh.

20. Spending time wondering 'what might have been' is a waste of time.

21. I can sit and watch airplanes take off and land all day long.

22. We went to Long Island and New York City for vacation a couple of years ago and it was one of my favorite trips. I loved swimming in the Atlantic. (A bit cold though.)

23. I went to Buffalo State College for my BS degree in education and again for my MS in elementary education. I commuted, so I missed the college experience. That's OK, because I always envisioned myself ending up like Bluto from Animal House if I had gone away. ("Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl harbor?")

24. I have been to the Christmas Story House in Cleveland, Ohio. If you're a fan of the movie, make the pilgrimage! It's well worth it.

25. I honestly thought I couldn't think of 25 things about myself.

1. My  middle name is Adair named after my grandmother.  I don't know if I started it or someone else did. I would say "like doe a dair a female dair" to help know how to say it because it was unheard of by most people.

2. I have 3 children. Elizabeth, 11, our leader, she has a campassionate heart and strong sense of justice, Emily, 7, she is our budding artist who uses common household items to make unique art projects,  and Selah, 2, our sweet bull dozer who does not know a stranger assuming everyone loves her.

3. I have 2 sisters, Maureen who graduated in 1990 and Lisa in 1998.  Maureen and Lisa followed my lead to California, Maureen lives with her Husbad, Evan, in the Bay area near San Francisco and Lisa lives near Sacramento.  My parents continue to live on Pine Street.

4. We own a duplex in Lockport on Grant Street and have a home in Bakersfield, CA, it is sunny about 250 days or more out of the year with high temps to go along with it.

5. I have been married to Shaun 12 years who has  kind spirit and a strength to damper my drivenness.

6. I never thought I would move to California, just knew I did not like to see my parents have to wait 20 minutes while their car warmed up before going to work.

7. I love my job. I work with people and have the opportunity to make people's lives better on a daily basis.

8. I am a seeker and very goal driven.  I love to learn about people and their background. I love to learn and understand things.

9. I love to read spiritual and inspirational books and movies about true stories and history.

10. My hair color is light brown with attempts at highlights yet I can't take the upkeep.  I have a few grey hairs that I can still pluck out.

11. I hate waiting in lines, I always want to keep moving.

12. I have a 2005 GMC Trail Blazer and my husband's 2001 Saturn.  We switch vehicles depending on what day it is to drop off pick up kids.

13. I will never forget being called CRASH.

14. All three of my kids are very close despite the 4 to 9 year difference between each.

15. I love playing or shooting baskets and riding my bike.  Its the few activities that do not aggravate my knees.

16. My favorite movie when I was a teenager was the Breakfast Club.  I think I watched it with Tara Richards a thousand times and some sections I still know by heart.  (Tara pretty much could do better than me; her best performance though was Mommie Dearest, NO WIRE HANGERS EVER!)

17. I have had dreams that have helped me prepare for what's coming good and bad and led me in my choices in my life.

18. Our daughters camp each weekend in the living room.  We're looking to buy a tent and actually go camping.  California is loaded with beautiful places to camp.  Coastal camping is best in the winter, crazy huh!

19. I love to take pictures and scrap book when inspired which is the key.  I need to have a purpose to complete it.

20. I have redistributed my weight and it consists of less muscle post kids.

21. I love all sorts of music classical, rock country, folk, worship, jazz and even some squaw music.  My husband is a recovering 80's rocker so I do listen occasionally to Journey like music, oh wait he's not recovering he still loves the music from the 80's even Striper.

22. I graduated LSHS and got into my school of choice for PT, Ithaca College.  I wanted to be a PT from the age of 15 on.  I guess I have little goal driven tendencey.

23. I finished college at 22 with a bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy and moved to California and been here ever since.  I felt a little hopeless and struggled for about 3 years after this due to accomplishing all my to do list of life.

24.  I want to have a 2 week vacation with my family, only had a max of 5 day since we have had kids.

25. 20 years ago I never would have thought I would live and work 3000 miles away from where I grew up and love where I live.

1. I love being a twin.  I don't know life any different.  Terri and I are identical twins which means...basically nature went crazy!  She is my VERY best friend!

2. I have know Denise Beshaw all of my life.  Our mothers have been best friends since 1st grade.  She's a SWEET HEART!!!

3. Last year my husband was deployed to Afghanistan.  It was the hardest year of my life.  With two young children and working full time I didn't think I had it in me to make it.  But I did!!!

4. My husband Dennis is the only man I have EVER loved.

5.  At my wedding, Terri gave a toast and threated Dennis with physical harm if he ever didn't take care of me...she was 6 months pregnant.  It was HILARIOUS!

6.  On that note, Terri has ALWAYS be my "protector".  Does anyone remember in grade school at Charlotte Cross when she kicked the sh*#T out of Steven Sharrow and that creepy kid with the dead turtle pieces in a bag...Rusty Roberts?

7.  Growing up I lived in a great neighborhood.  The west end was great...remember hind-n-seek in the "graveyard" on Sunnyside?

8.  I have two FABULOUS kids!  Brian is 7 and Madden will be 5 in three weeks.

9.  Madden (Maddie) was named after my beloved grandmother...it was her maiden name.

10. Terri and my husband were the only two people who were allowed in the delivery of my children.  Terri had c-sections and I wanted her to share those life's greatest moments with me (she has shared every other why stop now!)

11. I have been engaged twice to the same man.  Long story, but it all worked out.

12.  I never intended to be a military wife.  We only lived on a base once...Ft. Drum...need I say more.  My husband is currently a Major in the NYS National Guard...in my book , a true hero.  The horrors he has seen will haunt him for life!

13.  I still LOVE to play tennis.  Although, I haven't played in a while.  Samir, bring your racket to the reunion!

14.  I live north of Rochester...in Hilton,NY and accidentally ran into my classmate Joel Hall when his then girlfriend answered an add I placed for a babysitter.  Then I ran into him when his wonderful wife delivered their first baby on my unit...his kids are ADORABLE!  Now, I see him from time to time!

15.  I also ran into Amy Koz when her sister was having a baby on my unit...SMALL world!

16. I am a certified lactation counselor...I help women with breastfeeding.  It helps ALOT in my job as an labor and delivery nurse.

17.  I always knew I would be a nurse.  Never thought of anything else.

18.  I worked as an adult surgical nurse when I first got out of college.  It was an ENT, Plastics and general surgery floor with Oralmaxilofacial patients and some opthalmology patients.  It was hard work but I loved it.

19.  I left adult surgery for Ob because the death and dying was taking it's toll on me.  It is a privilege to be with someone at the end of their life...I respect that, but it wore me out.

20.  I have delivered 4 babies on my own since I started in OB/GYN in 2000.  The rush you feel when you bring life into this world...can not be put into words!  I LOVE it!

21.  In high school Dave Dunker's dad would let Joe borrow the van...loved Big Ray

22.  Some day I want a candy apple red Ford Mustang :)

23. I still like 80's music...my daughter loves Livin' on a prayer by Bon Jovi

24. I think I am a good wife and mother.  They are the threads that hold me together.

25.  I can't believe it's been 20 years...it feels like only yesterday :)

RE: Reunion Game!

OK, I'm going to give this a shot.

1.  We have 2 kids.  Our son Chris is 13, and our daughter Jordan is 9.  If you ask her she will tell you that she is "almost 10".

2.  My husband Ron and I have been married since Nov. 3, 1996.

3.  We have 1 dog and 2 cats.  I have accepted that our dog will probably always be an idiot.

4.  I work at the Lockport Board of Education.

5. In Sept. of 2004 my husband was supposed to be deployed to Iraq, but 4 days before he had to leave Jordan was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.  Needless to say he didn't have to go.  She went through 1 1/2 years of treatments and came through like a champ.  She now has to go to Roswell for periodic check-ups, and if all the blood tests come back clean over the next 3 years she will be cancer free.  WOO HOO!!  It is amazing what a little girl will do to keep her daddy state-side.

6. We took Chris to the ER two night ago because he put his hand through a window at my mother-in-laws house.  Six stitches later all was well.  This was ten days after he broke the thumb on the same hand playing basketball.  Boys are fun.

7. I have learned not to "sweat the small stuff".  After cancer almost everything seems small.

8. Jennifer Bragg was with us when Jordan was born.  She saw alot more then she needed or wanted.

9.  I like all kinds of music.  The two best concerts that I have been to were KISS and Garth Brooks.

10.  I am a horrible speller.  Thank God this has Spell Check.

11. I love to read.

12 I have found out that I don't like being the mom of a teenager.  Not because he is a bad kid, but because I don't feel old enough.

13.  I watched Footloose this morning and sang all the songs.

14. I was in a hurricane in Hawaii when I was younger.  Being on the 14th floor of a hotel is no big deal until the power goes out for 3 days.

15. I have been to Germany.

16. I seemed to follow my friends when they got pregnant.  Chris is 3 months younger than Beth Russo Anderson's daughter and Jordan is 5 months younger than Jennifer Bragg Bennion's daughter.

17. My husband is one of the funniest people I know.  It's hard for some people to believe because he is so quiet.  Could you imaging if I married someone as loud as me?  We are complete opposites in some was, but agree on the things that matter.

18.  Negative people drive me crazy.

19. If I'm at an arcade with my kids and there is a Galaga game, I'm on it.

20. When did they start playing 80s music on classic rock stations?

21. My kids can make me laugh until there are tears coming out of my eyes and my sides hurt.

22. My son is laid back and takes everything is stride.  My daughter is an Oscar worthy drama queen.

23. Who said that dark hair and dark eyes are dominant?  Both of the kids got their father's light hair and blue eyes.  Neither one of them looks like me.

24. I can't find the cord for my digital camera so I can't upload and pics to post.

25. Sue has done an unbelievable job on this site!!  Thanks Sue.

I tag Jennifer Bragg Bennion and Beth Russo Anderson.

2. I have 3 wonderful children who are my life, my mericles! Matthew 13, Caityln 9 & Shelby 8

3. Meet my husband at one of the above mentioned night classes - we divorced after nearly 11 years

4. My son made the paper last year after choking during lunch at Emmet Belknap and a teacher performed the heimlich

5. Still in Lockport, live about 4 blocks from my childhood home

6. My son attended and my girls still attend Washington Hunt where I still see teachers who taught us when we were there - we thought they were old then! Image my surprise to see them as substitutes teaching my kids!!!!!!

7. Still desperately miss Jennifer Abt - she helped me threw some tough times & I regret I wasn't able to talk her out of moving to Florida

8. Still wondering who emailed me through website - seemed to know me pretty well & still hasn't responded to my reply or identified themself

9. I still sunburn like a lobster - I remember Mike Pirrone rubbing ice on my back after Kate Lustenberger's swim party at Briarwood

10. Every year at this time I see & remember the wild flowers Jason used to pick for me on my birthday - Gina always got a laugh over stopping in the middle of the hill going down Niagara St Ext in my little stick-shift so Jason could hop out & pick them - my mother tried to give them to me one year, but it wasn't the same

11. Worked for almost 14 years for Gambino Ford until they closed last December, been unemployed since

12. Love being home with my kids since the dealership closed even when they ask if i'm feeling ok when they see the iron out

13.  Still love baking & have returned to cooking some since I've been unemployed but not much since my kids are sooooo picky & my son does the grilling & a far amount of cooking

14. I'm a soccer mom but got rid of the minivan, have since regreted that move since I have three kids & they come with friends, no room to transport everyone in one car!!

15. My older daughter has danced at Deana's studio since she was 3, my youngest daughter started there as well when she was 2 but only danced 2 years

16. Matt is my tech guy, if it's electronic, he'll figure it out - that is if he didn't get it taken apart before I stopped him!  He's taught me just about all i know about computers & would teach me more if I'd sit still long enough.  He's in robotics @ EB and just participated in KidWind with his team at the Buffalo Museum

17. Caitlyn is into everything time allows, she dances three nights a week, plays clarinet, reads avidly, is a junior girl scout and is trying to get into Odessy of the Mind. She'd do more but i simply don't have the time!

18. Shelby isn't into much of anything (actually she's "into" everything!) she prefers to do her own thing, her own way so organized sports, teams and classes are not her thing right now.  She is a brownie girl scout but that's probably only because I'm her scout leader!

19.  I still read a lot - most anything -  rarely without a book handy

20. Still fondly remember those I thought were my friends in high school, even if they don't remember me

21. My stepfather passed away last December from cancer - his birthday was days before mine & we've always celebrated them together - next week will be hard

22. Still hate history (Social Studies) - my kids all know not to ask me for help, they help each other or look it up on the internet

23. Have 2 cats named Ariel & Belle (both female), had a hamster named Hammy (male - my son wanted even the tiniest bit a help in our predominately female household) but he's passed on to a bigger exercise wheel

24. Have enjoyed reading about the few people whom have responed & would love to see more - come on people! our class was over 400!!!

25. Ok - made it to #25 but as you can see it's mostly about my kids - they are my life & I'm still as boring as I always have been

I tag Jason Tanger and Gina Swan - "Gonk" - I miss you guys & would love to hear from you as well as many other people

This is lot harder than I thought.

  1. Never thought I would move to Fort Wayne, Indiana.
  2. I still love to read.
  3. I have four children. My oldest is Stephen Alan (19) and is in the National Guard. He wants to attend Purdue to become a dentist. Kayla Marie (13) looks just like me. She is quite active. I am always driving her to soccer, swimming or cheer-leading. This year she wants to tryout for volleyball. Her dream is to be a doctor. Ashley Morgan(5) is my mouse. She is very small and enjoys gymnastics. Masen Thomas (2) is my little monkey.
  4. I am married. I have been with my husband for 15 years and married for 9. He works as a service adviser.
  5. I never dreamed of working in a factory (GM). I loved my office job. I did a little of everything. I worked at David Cadillac and Jim Culligans. I did acct payable & receivables mostly.
  6. I drive a 2005 Pont Montana Mini van and of course it has a DVD player. What a life saver it has been.
  7. I am working on receiving a degree. I am majoring in Accounting. I would like to have my BS by 2013. I take three courses a semester.

  8. I talk to my baby sister almost every day.

  9. Nothing could ever prepare us to be parents of teenagers.

  10. I am addicted to face book.

  11. I text my friends from work at work all day long.
  12. My house would be spotless and you could eat off of my floors on any given day. Well that has stopped. Now it is clean but very lived in. Working 40 hrs, being a full time mom and going to school part time has slowed me down.
  13. Finally starting to add color to my boring white walls. My sis says my house is looking like a basket of Easter eggs.
  14. Went to Buffalo State for three years majoring in elementary education. I took a full time job to take a break from school and realized I like working in an office.
  15. My favorite color is black.
  16. I am very hard on myself. Everything has to be just right (my schooling, painting, my parenting and being a wife).
  17. I love to be busy. I enjoy having a hectic life. When everything calms down, I am actually lost.
  18. Never thought Deana would open a dance studio and teach my baby sister or my daughter. Kayla danced for her for about 6 yrs before we moved.
  19. My first house was on Carolina Ave. Right down the street from the house I grew up in.
  20. I have been a soccer mom for 15 yrs and prolly have another 15 to go. Since Masen is only 2.
  21. Do not like the idea of getting old.
  22. I bought this house saying this is it. Yep, I want to move and we have only been here 2 yrs. I want and need a bigger house. I upgraded when we moved , but not big enough.
  23. I tell people I do not want no more pets. Well, I have one cat and two dogs. The kids named the cat Tiger. My shih tzu is Oscar and the boxer is Sabre. I do want a female dog just because I picked the name Sasha.
  24. I have never touched a lawn mower and I never plan to. I can use a snow blower when I have no choice.
  25. I am always worried about gaining weight. I watch everything I eat and try to stay active.

 I tag Scott Gorman.

RE: Reunion Game!

1. I went to the Community College of the Finger Lakes and then to Buff State and got a Bachelors degree in Business Management.

2. Got engaged on my 21st birthday and thankfully never went through with the wedding, because I now know that Kevin and I were meant to be!!

3. I came out to Colorado in 1994 to visit my best friend and loved it so much that I went home and packed my car!

4. I can't imagine living anywhere else. Colorado is home to me and will always be. I rarely make it back to Lockport. I miss some things (like my Dad), but could never see myself moving back to all of that snow!!!!

5. I have 2 wonderful kids (Ryan and Megan), and love the fact that they get along so well. My sister and I never have and that makes me sad!

6. I wish that I didn't listen to my husband and spelled Megan the "Irish way", with the H, because I LOVE being Irish!

7. I have taken 2 road trips on our Harley, the 3rd to come this summer. We went to Yellowstone the first year, the Grand Canyon, 4-corners, Hoover Dam, and Las Vegas the 2nd year. This year we are going to see Mt. Rushmore. I can't wait. Touring the country on a motorcycle is the BEST! You see so much more than in a car and it is always an adventure!!

8. I had lasik 5 years ago and I am so glad that I did because I think my eyes are one of my best features!

9. I wish that I had kept in better touch with some of my friends from high school.

10. My family loves to camp. I think the kids and the dogs are the happiest when we are out in the woods!!

11. I was a nanny for 5 years for 2 different families. I loved that job.

12. I love to go to concerts. I only got to see the Grateful Dead 4 times with Jerry, but have seen many Dead cover bands since. My favorite is Dark Star Orchestra - they are as close to the real thing as you can get!!I just saw the Dead with all of the remaining members and it was awesome! I love to dance and have a great time!

13. I have 2 dogs. Sadie is a German Shephard/Lab mix. She is 7 years old and we rescued her when she was 2. She is the best dog!! Hunter is a Yellow Lab. He is almost 2 years old and makes me smile every day. I cuddle with him every morning and it is a great start to my day :)

14. My mother has MS. She was diagnosed 11 years ago. I did a 50 mile, 3-day walk for her 3 years ago. She is very stubborn when it comes to doctors and me doing that walk made her go! She is doing just fine and I feel very blessed to have her so close to me. She means the world to me!

15. My parents separated when I was 18. It was the hardest time in my life so far. I was very angry with my Dad for a long time and finally realized that life is just to short. I love him very much and have been lucky to travel to Mexico with him the last 2 years.

16. We lived in Missouri for 5 long months. My husbands job took us there and thank god it fell through because I think that I would have been commited by now if I had to stay there any longer! I like being a city girl and living in the boonies just wasn't for me!

17. I have a housecleaning business. It isn't a glamorous job, but I love it! I make people happy everyday when they come home to a clean house ;) I also love the flexibility of my job. I pretty much work 1 week on, 1 off!

18. I would love to travel to Ireland. I hope that day comes soon!!

19. I followed my husband to Florida. I dropped him off at the airport and just had this overwhelming feeling that I had to go with him. (We were just friends at the time). I went home and bought a plane ticket and packed my bags! We have been together ever since!

20. We had an outdoor wedding in the mountains. It was one of the best days of my life, next to my kids being born!

21. My son wrote a paper on his hero and it was about my father. My Dad has been a volunteer firefighter for 41 years and Ryan really looks up to him!

22. I wish that I was a better gardener. My neighbors put me to shame!!

23. I am so thankful for my mom and step father. They help out with the kids so much and the kids LOVE them. I am so glad that my kids have them in their life. I lost my grandparents at a young age and I miss them everyday.

24. I play the flute and piano, neither very well. I have always wanted to learn how to play the guitar. I took lessons for a little while, but gave up becasue I thought I should be doing better! It is harder than it looks!

25. I loved being pregnant! Labor was so smooth with Ryan that I told my husband that I wanted 10 more kids, then my daughter was born. (LOL) It wasn't the labor that was hard it is her personality. She is just like me and it scares the crap out of me to think of her as a teenager!

I tag Julie Harrison!

9. Baseball is new I don't know if I like it yet. But maybe when I get to watch a game it will be better.

19. Like may others I to struggle with my weight. Thanks Garith! I have become good friends with my treadmill.

20. We enjoy camping! We gave up on the tent thing to many nights sleeping in the rain and cold. Then we went to a pop up until my son fell out in the middle of the night and almost hit the hitch. After that I got my camper. Its old but I love it anyways.

Okay, my turn.

1.  I love to throw random movie and television quotes into everyday conversation.  (I know, what a dork!)

2.  I have lived in Buffalo NY, Cincinnati OH, and Mobile AL.  (not necessarily in that order)

3.  I am a clean and organization freak, but a lot of the time my procrastination wins out.

4.  I am the oldest of 4 siblings - 2 brothers and 2 sisters.  1 of the brothers I didn't even know I had until about  6 years ago when I found my biological father and met them for the first time ever.

5.  I love all kinds of music (except rap), but my favorite is big band.

6.  I have an associates degree in advertising that I have never used for anything.  Once I graduated I realized that I hated the field.  If I could go back in time, I would never have studied that and wasted my money.

7.  Speaking of going back in time:  if I could, there are several moments that I wish I could change.  One that I always think about is the prom.  I would've made sure that I danced with my best friend/major crush Mike Mottorn at least once.

8.  I have a serious crush on Jeff Probst from Survivor.

9.  I was married for 12 years and am now divorced.

10.  I am deathly allergic to cats.  They could kill me.  Seriously.

11.  I hate all insects except butterflies.  Spiders are my nemesis and the bane of my existence.

12.  I love reality television, crime dramas, and sit-coms.  I still watch cartoons.

13.  I read as much as I can.  Mostly suspense fiction.  James Patterson and Dean Koonta are my favorite authors.

14.  I love almost animals - especially dogs, horses, frogs, turtles, elephants, and giraffes.  I am not afraid of snakes.

15.  The biggest dream of my life is to be an actress.  My mom was never able to provide transportation for me to be in the school plays, plus I was shy in high school.  I also always wanted to be a dancer but my mom made me take piano instead.  She said dancing was my sisters thing.  If I could do it over, I would take dance anyways, and find whatever transportation I could so I could be in all the plays.

16.  The most common dream I have while sleeping is of me flying.  I love this dream and I usually wake up sad when I realize it's not really true.

17.  My next oldest sister is named Marie and when we were kids people used to call us "Donny and Marie".  I would get soooooo mad!

18.  I have never been a morning person.  I could stay up all night and sleep all day.

19.  I get motion sickness very easily.  And I also fall asleep easily on road trips.  Only a problem when I am the one driving.

20.  I am not a fan of trying new foods or anything that looks or smells weird.  I could easily be a vegetarian, but I lack the discipline.

21.  I only have one child.  A 9-year old son.  I actually never wanted any children at all, but I wouldn't trade him for anything.  I never understood the love between mother and child until he came along.  I never realized it is possible to love another person that much.

22.  I am afraid of heights, spiders, enclosed spaces, not being able to breathe, thunderstorms, and the dark.

23.  I have Myspace and Facebook pages.

24.  I wish I could win a lot of money so I could help my family members and friends.

25.  My favorite computer/video game is the Sims.

1.  I am a stay at home mom of three great kids.  11 year old twin girls and a five year old son.

2.  I am a Registered nurse but I don't really enjoy taking care of sick patients.  Psyche only please.  I worked at ECMC for 5 years in the Psyche ER and at Mt. St. Mary's doing drug and ETOH detox and counseling for a year.

3.   I hate mornings.  Especially, Monday mornings.

4.  I love going to baseball games. Go Tigers!

5.  I have been married 14 years!! On our 10th anniversary, my husband surprised me and took me on a mystery vacation.  It turned out to be a cruise on the Queen Mary 2.

6.    My dog loves to run away.  He is a black lab and his neighborhood nickname is the black bullet.  It is not uncommon to see me driving a van with crying children holding bologna out the window calling for a dog named Zack.

7.  I am a terrible flyer in planes but love helicopters and traveling.

8.  We share a boat with my husbands partners.  It is named the Rod Squad.  They are urologists.  Need I say more.

9.  I have developed into a pretty decent doubles partner in tennis.

10.  I check my facebook page everyday and am worried that I am addicted to a ridiculous game called geo challenge. I challenge any of you to beat my score!!!!

11.  April Fools is one of my favorite days and I develop elaborate tricks and hoaxs that exasperate and antagonize my friends and family through out the year.

12.  I enjoy really bad reality t.v.  The worse the better and can speculate endlessly over which classy girl Brett Michaels should chose in Rock of Love. My husband dislikes this about me.

13.  Survivor however is not considered bad reality tv. in our house.  It is actually a prime source of entertainment and a Campbell Thursday date night classic.

14. Gum chewing especially gum snapping annoys me.  It is banned in our house.  Possibly because the kids spit it out on the carpet/furniture a couple of times but probably becasue it annoys me.  hahaha

15.  My name is not Jillian.  It is just Jill.  When I came to LSHS, I entered senior year and invented the name change because I thought it sounded more sophisticated and interesting.  Sorry everybody!!  It takes a while for a person to develop the confidence to just be who they are.   Hope my kids learn that lesson earlier than I did.

16.  I like to matchmake and set Lisa Cummings/Swanson up with her now husband Donnie.

17. I like hot sauce on lots of foods that others would consider gross.

18.  I left the hubby and kids home and went to Paris by myself a couple of years ago. (Brief vacation not mental breakdown-haha!)  It was a cool experience and I saw the tour de France come in for the finish.  Amazing and surreal.

19.  I was a birth coach in the delivery of a friends baby. Also amazing!

20.  My twins were premature and had to stay in Childrens Hospital of Buffalo for 5 weeks.

21. For years I joked about having a Christmas baby boy someday. It was always an unlikely fantasy after having a difficult time conceiving our twins. Anyway, my son was one of those "surprise" pregancies that came after finally commiting to an exercise program. Once I hit my goal weight,  presto the big surprise. Still we were thrilled to get him despite the irony of the timing. As a bonus, he was born just in time to come home Christmas Eve and make his morning debut for his sisters.

22.  I like to throw big parties!!!!

23.  I find David Sedaris hilarious and just went to hear him speak. Then I waited in line for 45 mins for an autograph.  Quircky people are fascinating to me.

24.  I worked as a substitute school nurse in Lockport for a little while.

25.  I have been living in Michigan for 9 years.

Here goes...

1) I live in Cartersville, Georgia - about 45 miles NorthWest of Atlanta. Moved here in 2000 from the ATL... to be closer to Chatanooga, Tennessee - where my stepchildren live.

2) I have three kids - 2 stepchildren and one with my husband - Kendall (19); Gavin (16); and Sophie (3) - the HOT mess....

3) My husband and I just celebrated our 10-year wedding anniversary.

4) I met my husband at work - I was a temp, working in the district office; he was the store manager... He was born in Booneville, Arkansas (yep), and grew up in Tennessee. He is the best human being I have ever known... It was a "no brainer". Oh yah - and he has a sweet TN southern drawl to boot..

5) I graduated from Geneseo. LOVE that school. Go back as often as I can, and meet up with my 7 best friends from college.

6) I moved to England the Fall after I graduated college. Spent a year working there, and travelled around the United Kingdom and Europe for awhile. Lived in a rental house with another American, a girl from Ireland, and a guy from Denmark. We called it "The Disco Palace" because the furnishings were definitely from the 70's - even had a paisley carpet in the den.

7) It snowed one time when I lived in England, and melted by the next day....found out what life was like without 6 months of winter, and decided to move to Atlanta, Georgia once I got home and made some money to afford the move.

8) Moved to Atlanta the Fall before the 1996 Summer Olympic Games. Stood on Peachtree Street as the Olympic torch "ran" by... never attended any of the actual events...

9) Was supposed to meet some college friends at Centennial Olympic Park the night of the Olympic Park bombing. Didn't make it... my car broke down on the way...

10) I am still a DIE-HARD Buffalo Bills fan... yes, even after all the heart breaks. I am a member of the Atlanta Bills Backers club. It is one of the largest Bills fan organizations in the country. The club watches all the Bills games every week together at a bar in Buckhead (in Atlanta); and makes at least one road trip to a Bills game in the Southeast each year - Nashville this year - woohoo!

11) My stepson (Gavin) is a HUGE Buffalo Bills fan... Its kind of our thing. His email address starts with "tnbillsfan". Gavin & I have tickets to the Bills/Falcons game on Sunday, December 27, 2009 - sitting in the Bills Backers fan section - Gavin is PUMPED.. me too...

12) My oldest daughter (Kendall) started college this past Fall. Flunked out of all her classes.... took a semester off... going back in the Fall.... God help those with teenagers... I have no frame of reference. Partied quite a bit myself in college, but never let it affect my grades.

13) Sophie, my youngest, is comonly referred to as "mini-Lauri" - yep - spitting image... poor thing - She has my temper and independence, and her father's ADHD (undiagnosed at this point) - it's a crazy combo.

14) Favorite TV shows - The Office; Real Housewives (every city & season); and Grey's Anatomy - Oh yah - and any teenage show out there - The Hills, One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl - I am so pathetic... lol

15) I run 5ks with a group of friends here in Atlanta about once a month. I love to run - Try to run at least a few times a week... Just finished a run tonight before typing this....

16) I am addicted to my iTouch...addicted

17) My running playlist -Pearl Jam, Journey, Van Halen, Pat Benatar, Chris Brown, New Edition, Goo Goo Dolls, Kanya West, Heavy D & the Boys - hahahahaha...so random

18) I have worked in Human Resources for over 13 years (shout-out Dawn Rug). I am a Senior HR Business Partner with JPMorgan Chase. Love my job, my senior leadership team, and my employees. Our site supported the Circuit City credit cards nationwide...soo... in early March, I had to tell the 800 employees at my site that we are closing down. My last day is July 2nd... Chase offered me a position in Canada.. I told them I already lived there... a little place east of Canada called Buffalo, NY... couldn't do the weather again... Currently interviewing with a few organizations. I have delivered layoffs many times over my career, but have never been on the receiving end. Really bites...

19) I am a PASSIONATE Tennessee Vols football fan by marriage. Love me some SEC college football. Attended my first game in 2003... so awesome!

20) My husband bought me a new pair of white roller skates for Mother's Day. Yes - roller skates - not roller blades - old school - My neighbors totally dig them... I am going to start a trend with the late 30-somethings in Cartersville, GA... mark my words...

21) I was an aerobics instructor in college. Taught 4-5 classes a week - one class in particular -  Saturday mornings from 10:00am - 12:00pm - taught a class called "Super Aerobics". It was one hour of high impact and one hour of floor work (think Pilates). Usually sweat out a lot of beer in that session....

22) My favorite musical as a kid was Annie - was obsessed with it - Sophie bought me the movie for Mother's Day - she now sings "Maybe" and "Tomorrow" all the time, everyday... It's like a surreal flashback... the absolute coolest kind....man, I can't wait to take her to the stage version.

23) DVR has ruined me... I attempt on a daily basis to rewind the radio, conference calls, and my kids....

24) My first concert was Air Supply at Darien Lake...

25) Favorite memory from high school - GM picnic at Darien Lake senior year - Julie Harrison, Tara Richards, Michelle Pitrello, Janine Rising, Karen Murphy, Kelly Burns, and I woke up with the tent on our faces because it had snowed overnight and caved the tent in on us.... only in Western NY man....

Out!!

I tag Julie (Harrison) Clements and Tara Richards

Hello Everyone,

I am really sorry this is so late. It's been a bad week. I want to thank Suzanne for all she is doing for the Reunion.

1 I'm not use to talking about myself, so if I fall shy of the game rule of 25 random things, I am sorry.

2  I will try to keep this in time order from school on up. As some may know, I did not graduate with our class like some other. One year after I left school I redeived my GED.

3 Shortly after receiving my GED, I took a courses in Accounting. Talk about BORING. LOL. I did finish and am a CPA though I didn't bother trying to get a job as a CPA.

4   I made 2 trips to Florida. One for a vacation and the second I lived in Jacksonville FL for just over a year. While I was there I worked for Tri-Star productions. Nothing fancy, just worked in the warehouse were they stored props from past and future movies. This was before I turned 19.

5   When I got back to my home town here in the Big city, I started college. My major was Micro Computer Systems Manegment, ( fancy name that just meant I was taking several different PC classes ).

6   When I had 2 days of free time some freinds and I went to Toronto. It was a break, alot of fun, and the Science museums were something you would just have to see for your self. It was a great time, but the night life was not what we expected.

7    This I was suprised to see as a suggestion for the Tag Game. I did get to go Whale watching. I was helping to sell, pack and move another freinf of mine. As a treat after we were done we went to Providence RI. The boat ride was a little over 3 hours and for the first hour and a half we thought it was a lost cuase. But we did get to see several of the Hump Back Whales.

8    I'm a collector of Dean Koontz books. It suprised me. I just picked up a paper back for something to pass some times, but I got hooked on the books and expescially the poems that are in most of his books. For anyone interested the Poems can be looked up on the web. They are called " The Book of Counted Sorrows" by Dean Koontz.

9   I'm going to say a little about my best freind of 16 years. Her name is Gwen, ( short for Gwendylin ). She moved in next door to me and I decieded to welcome her to the area. We just hit it off right away. She's a great person, freindly to everyone, and will never thing twice to offer any aide that she can. She will be with me for the reunion.

10   I've lived in Buffalo for a few years near Broadway and Filmore. That corner has the best candy shop you might ever find. They make everything right there on sight.

11   I've also lived in Niagara Falls for 2 years. While I was there I lucked into a job at the Nagra Gazzet. No, not a reporter or anything that up the ladder. I helped put together the classifed section of the paper.

12   One of the things that I have always loved is just getting into a car and driving. It really didn't matter where I went, I just liked roaming and watching the scenery. If fact, on my second trip to FL, ( when I lived there ), I drove the entire way. It took 22 hours with minor stops for food, gas, and rest stops.

13  The second thing I love the most is computers. After college, I am able to build, program, debug, and teach people that think it's to hard to use a computer.

14   Family wise, I don't have one of my own. Never married. But I'm close to my parents, visiting often. I also have a 6 year old nephew that is just amazing.

15   I am a collector of anything with Wolves. T-Shirts, blankets, statues, knives, pictures...... I think you get the hint. LOL

16    My favorite movie is Interveiw with a Vampire. I've been collecting Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicle books ever since I saw that movie. It's my beleif that the books are a heck of alot better.

17   Speaking of books, I collect them aswell. Currently I have over 600 books all over the house. Anything from y favorite Dean Koontz to Jim Butcher.

17   As for my off time, I try to take Friday night ans all day Saturdays just to bum around, read, catch up with my internet business, and watch movies.

18   My first time in a Casino I was petrified. It was in Wisconsin and I thought I might get hooked on gambling like the stories you hear. I've only been to one other Casino and that is the one in Niagara Falls.

19   One of the things I hate the most, ( and don't laugh ), is Spiders. I've been afraid of them since I was a little kid and fell asleep with one in my bed.

20   I am currently, ( for the thousanth time ), trying to grow some house plants. I can never seem to keep one alive for a month.

21   As a way to relax and do something constructive I put together Latch Hook Rugs with Wolf Themes.

22 The people I went to school with would probably never beleive this, but I have gotten 4 tattos over the years. And yes, one is a Wolf. LOL

23  Luckly, I can do alot of work from home. I have been disabled for several years.

24  I have turned out to be a semi shy person. Sometimes I can go out on the town and keep up with the best. Other times I just can't stnd being in croweds.

25   I have been a tour guide for some internet friends that were here for work, vacation, orvisiting family in a near by place. I have found that even born and raised here, I can still get lost. LOL

I  will skip tagging someone else seeing I'm a about a week late posting this. Also I actually got to 25, I'm shocked. Though Some may consider a few just filler.

RE: Reunion Game!

So I've been tagged... Let's see how different I can be from Tracy!

1.) currently living in Lockport. I love Lockport and WNY. Yes, the economy isn't that great and unemployment is at 9% but you gottta love the tenacity of the folks that live here.

2.) I fell in love with and married the greatest man ever,my High School sweetheart, Joe Flaherty. The love of my life... that's why I call him... Lover

3.) We have 2 of the best kids. Patrick (and please don't call him Pat!) is going to be 11 and Benjamin is 8 . Patrick is a fantastic athlete... Baseball, basketball, soccer, football, hockey...he just love sports. Ben, on the other hand, tries very hard to play sports but would rather have lightsaber battles or use his imagination and play Poke'mon and his DS. 2 kids from the same parents but totally opposite... amazing!

4.) My children and Tracy's children look very much alike... I don't see it but people tell me all the time that my sons and Tracy's son could be brothers. They aren't that far off. Tracy and I are identical twins.. genetically, our children are 1/2 brothers and sister.

5.) I have worked in the Affordable Housing industry for the last 15 years. I never planned on making it my career but I have really enjoyed this calling. I work for Belmont Housing Resources of WNY. We provide affordable housing to low income families. I work in the Sec. 8 program . It a federally funded HUD program that provides rental assistance. I'm a Housing Programs Manger. I over see a staff of about 20 and directly supervise 8 staff members. I started as Housing Specialist (case worker) then was promoted to Sr. Housing Specialist, and then promoted into my current position as Manager.

6.) I truly believe in the Mission of Belmont Housing Resources of WNY. If I didn't, I wouldn't drive 40 minutes each way every day to go to work.

7.) I've never written a book, never saved someone's life, never did anything SPECTACULAR... but I do give people a way out of poverty, a way to better life for their families...

8.) I love the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates. It's been a love affair since the 70's

9.) I love coaching. I've had the pleasure of coaching Little League baseball for the last 4 years, coached basketball for 2 years and even helped coach my niece's softball team

10.) I believe in paying it forward...

11.) For the last 5 years I've taught church school (5th grade). I really enjoy it. Teaching has brought me a greater appreciation and understanding of my faith.

12.) I feel bad that I haven't stayed in better touch with folks from High School. We had so much fun... please know that you guys and the experiences we had together will always hold a special place in my heart.

13.) With that being said, the friendships I made at Nazareth College (BA '93) are my most beloved and cherished. I still, on a regualr basis, get together with my friends from Naz... as a matter of fact, we do a "girls weekend" once a year.

14.) Joe's mom passed away 5 years ago...one of THE hardest moments of my life. She was a wonderful woman , mother, grandmother, and friend. God only takes the best.

15.) I have this thing about other people touching me... can't stand it! I have never paid for a massage (I get them for free at home!) I'm always hugging my kids and my husband but I'm not a big toucher of other people!

16.) I will be 39 in September...how did we get this old? clerks in stores call me "ma'am"...

17.) I have a hard time holding back tears at my children's birthday parites, 1st Communions, school performances... anything involving them... I even get teary eyed when they open up their Christmas gifts.

18.) Joe and I don't go out to bars. We are home bodies. We enjoy spending time with my family (or at least that what Joe tells me!) We like activites where we can all (my sisters and brothers-in-law and nieces and nephews) do something together. It's not unusual to see 12 of us at dinner or at the Drive-In, or at a ball game, or hanging out at my older sister's house (next door to Roger Ave. Park)

19.) We had to put our dog, Murray, down this winter. He was a golden retriever. We had him for 13 1/2 years. He was a great dog. We loved him and I miss him... can't write any more or I'll cry!

20.) I loved growing up in the "West End". I remember the first time I ever hit a baseball over the fence at Charlotte Cross while playing Pitcher's Hand. Unfortunately, I broke a window at St. Anthony's... thank God, priests are forgiving! Charlotte Cross was the BEST elementary School. We had some great times back then...some great friends, too.

21.) I love watching my children sleep... I know it sounds weird but I just look at them and Thank God for them... what's even better is that they still allow me to kiss them good-bye and good night! I'm sure as my oldest hits middle school next year that will end. But for now...I'll take it!

22.) I hate to fly, I hate riding in elevators, and I don't like Amusment Park rides. I get vertigo and all these things really mess me up!

23.) One of my biggest fears is that I'll get an illness and not be around to raise my kids or grow old with Joe. It scares me when I see folks I've gone to school who have been diagnosed with cancer ... I always think "oh my God, it could be me... what would I do?" I pray for my classmates who are currently battling cancer and pray for their recovery.

24.) So glad we have a DEMOCRAT in the White HOUSE... maybe next time the country will pull their heads out their "butts" and elect a woman President!

25.) Thank you to everyone in the class of '89 who currently serve or have served in the United States military. You make me proud. Thank you for your sacrifice and committment to preserving our freedoms. You guys rock!

1.  After college I desperately wanted to be a sportscaster or work in sports marketing. That never happened. I worked at an advertising agency for 6 years and have since been working in the nonprofit world.

2. I've lived in Indianapolis since 1995, minus almost 3 years in Denver, CO.

3. I never in a million years imagined I would experience losing a best friend from a tragic accident. I recently visited San Diego and was able to see Lisa Gervaises's husband and kids and her little 4 year old girl looks exactly like her.

4. I am obsessed with the show House.

5. Though I am a Democrat I did have a once in a lifetime chance to spend about 8 minutes in the oval office with President George W. Bush. The rug was really nice.

6. I whistle sucking in instead of blowing out.

7. If I could only pick three things to eat/drink for the rest of my life they would be Savignon Blanc wine, Bottled Water and Pizza

8. I have two children, Ella who is almost 10 who excels at sarcasm, dancing and laughing and Sam who is 6 who is sweet, unintentionally hysterical and very impressionable.

9. Terese Loiacano (Alex) is still my best friend though we see each other only once a year.

10. I once ran a mini marathon and vow to never to do such a thing again.

11. I like Woody Allen and Quentin Tarantino movies.

12. I used to be a good water skiier - hadn't done it in years, tried again last summer and tore my hamstring.

13. I like to read fiction,  pop-culture magazines, take an extremely hot bath and do yoga when i have free time.

14. Heading to Denver, Seattle and Lockport this summer.

15. Am on the board of directors of the Peace Learing Center and Postpartum Support International.

16. I'm still good at Ms. Pac Man but get beat by my kids in all things Wii.

17. I once got in a verbal argument, or rather I made fun of, Kato Kaelin at a party on Indy 500 weekend years ago.

18. I went to West Virginia University for my undergrad and Regis University Denver for my Masters in Nonprofit Management.

19. I learned that having a masters degree really means absolutely nothing in most cases(yes - i know of course it does for any of you doctors or lawyers)

20. Openmindedness, Kindness and Serenity are all important to me.

21. I spend too much money at Starbucks and Target.

22. I wish people realized that mental illness is just as real of a disease as say.. diabetes is.

23. I'm sooo impressed with all of the hard work the reunion committee, esecially Suzanne, has put into our party. Impressed AND secretly so glad that I am not on said committee ;)

24. I am wondering if I will be able to party two nights in a row at the reunion.

25. My house is currently on the market and I have become really really good at making it look good quickly by hiding serious amounts of crap in cupboards and drawers, quick sink wipes and air freshener.

Grab yourself a blankey and pillow because this may put you to sleep. . . . .

1. My real name is NOT Woody, it's William.  People have always asked me if Woody is my real name and I still get tired explaining it.  When I was a baby, my mother wanted my nickname to be Willy.  My older brother could not pronouce it and said Widdy.  It eventually turned into Woody.  I'm glad my nickname isn't Willy.

2. I have 2 children. Andrew (13) and Emily (12).  Both attending middle school at Emmet Belknap.  Andrew is such a jock.  Loves all sports.  His greatest passion is hockey and I love it too.  Emily is in girl scouts and band.  She plays the clarinet. She gets her musical abilities from her mother.

3. I have three siblings.  Greg, Carrie and Ben.  All still living in Lockport and I don't see any of them.  I am the only one that is married.

4. I met my wife, Heather, after highschool. She is three years younger than I am.  We met a work and later learned that we lived around the corner from each other growing up.  I knew I was going to marry her the day I met her.  It was love at first sight.  We will be married 13 years this July.

5. Andrew was born before we were married.  He was 10 months old at our wedding.

6. I travel to Buffalo from Lockport five days a week for work.  The drive to work still does not get easy, especially during the winter months.  I've been a Paralegal at Cellino & Barnes for 9 years.

7. I always wanted to be a lawyer but cannot find the time to go to law school.

8. Most of the friends that I have today, I didn't make until after highschool.

9. My best friend growing up was a girl and now we don't even speak anymore.

10. My wife is the best cake maker in Lockport.

11. I used to smoke a pack of cigarettes a day.  I quit cold turkey one month before Emily was born.  Even tough I would never go back to it, the craving is still there every once in a while.

12. After I quit smoking, I gained close to 50 lbs.  I weighed approximately 225.  I lost a lot of weight a couple years ago and got down to 175.  It was too skinny.  I'm about 190 today.

13. I love being outside in the sunshine and fresh air doing yardwork.

14. I absolutely hate talking on the phone.  If the conversation goes more than 2 minutes, you lost me.

1. 25 things - sounds like a lot, but I will do my best!

2. Suzanne rocks for building this website and organizing the 20th reunion!

3. After living in PA for 8 years I decided to move to the Netherlands, where I have been for the last 10 years.

4. We live in a very small town where for the first 2 years I lived here, I was known as "THE American".

5. I have 7 year old boy / girl twins which I adore!

6. I love to travel and have seen so many wonderful places, yet the best place on Earth has to be the Alps - especially in the very southern part of Switzerland and the very northern part of Italy!

7. After having learned Dutch and speaking it as my main language, I have to really concentrate when I speak or write English.

8. Besides learning Dutch, Flemish, Italian, German, Spanish and French are the other languages which our family use during our travels. Our children have been raised fully bilingually.

9. I work as a freelance journalist and have been running my own business, A. Herl, Inc. (Amy Herl is my legal name) for 8 years. We have the largest automotive and motor-sports archives in Europe.

10. Over the years I have met a lot of memorable sporting figures in the world of motor-sports, but the loss of my friend Bill Lomas a couple of years ago was a difficult one.

11. Volunteer work is very rewarding, and the work I do with the FIT gymnastiek en dans vereniging is my favorite.

12. My husband has been battling lymphoma for 4 years and is recovering from his recent bout of radiation.

13. My Dutch friend Emmy is my long lost twin sister.

14. I miss a lot of American goodies, but going without Mountain Dew had to be the most difficult.

15. We celebrate every Dutch holiday AND every American holiday - you should have seen our neighbors faces when we lit sparklers on the 4th of July.

16. We started small, going only to our neighbors homes on the 31st of October, but now, even the elementary school in our town has started celebrating Halloween the last 2 years! Although in Germany to our East and England across the Channel, they do celebrate Halloween, in the Netherlands - they don't.

17. Yes, there are windmills in every town, and in our small village they still use them to grind up wheat and flour for baking products.

18. Yes, my children HAVE owned and walked in wooden shoes before.

19. Yes, marijuana is legal in the Netherlands, as is prostitution, same sex marriages and euthanasia.

20. People here can always pick me out of the crowd, I am the only one NOT wearing black socks with my sneakers!

21. I do get homesick often, especially during American holidays and I know that I totally have missed that last 10 years of American pop culture and I don't even KNOW who any of the American Idol contestants are.

22. Thankfully we get some American programs here so my kids recognize "American English" is not just the way mom talks.

23. Although it gets cold here in the winter, it all seems so pointless without the snow!

24. A few years ago we bought a beautiful Villa on Lake Como in Northern Italy and it has to be the most magical place in the world. And no we have never seen George Clooney there, he lives on the other leg of the lake, north of the city of Como. We are close to Bellagio and Varenna.

25. I can´t believe I managed to come up with 25 things.

25 things- here goes....

1.  I have four living daughters.  Hannah- 13, my clone; Lucy, 10; Claudia- 8(after my grandmaother); and Virginia-6.

2.  My oldest daughter, Hayley, passed away when she was two dasy old.  She would be 15 years old now.  She had spina bifida, and we knew she would pass away when I was 10 weeks pregnant.  I carried her full term, and the dr's were shocked when she lived through delivery.  We had her for the most amazing and difficult two days of my life.  She taught me the meaning of love at first sight.  All the girls share her middle name -Jane.

3.  I teach third grade at Washington Hunt Elementary School in Lockport.  I have taught many of our classmates children.

13.  I love my sister most of the time.  We have a great long distance relationship.  The last time we were together we fought so much, that my mother nearly had a nervous breakdown.  Then we made up, and laughed a lot about it.  Mom didnt speak to us for days!!!

14.  I hate my second toe.  I have broke it many, many times by hitting it with the vaccum.

15.  I love to scrub the floors on my hands and knees with a bucket of super hot water, then walk around on the floors barefoot.  I will only do this when they girls are in bed, because, they get it all crumby and sticky!

16.  I have had horrible insomnia since Virginia was born.

17.  I have had recurring night terrors since I was 13 about the UNICEF man kidnapping me.  For those of you Catholic school chums- remember the milk cartons we would collect $ in???  Well the man in the dream carries one.  I wake up screaming on a regular basis.  It used to scare my husabnd and girls- now they sleep right through it.

OK I have been reading the info on everyone, so I guess it's time for me to play ( I have been working on this for weeks with many  interruptions).
1.  I have 4 beautiful children: Nicholas 9, Joshua 7, William 3 and Natasha 1 my beautiful little girl whom I waited for all my life- be careful what you wish for because she is into everything.  I am truly afraid she will be like me when I was a teenager!  I agree with Andrew it is the hardest job around.
2.  I have been married to Brian who is from England for 12 years.  We met working on a cruise ship.  Who would have thought that of the person voted class flirt in 1989!  We get back to England every other year.
3.  I nursed all four of my children until about 18 months.  My youngest I still am nursing.  I don't think she will like me being gone away for the weekend for the reunion.  Lot's of luck to my hubby.
4.  We live in a beautiful wood home on a lake.   My husband fell in love with it.  Fishing and boating but no swimming.  It is in the country but it is in a circle with great neighbors.
5.  While I am a stay at home mom, I have 2 direct selling companies.  I own my own Signature Homestyles  business, the premier organizing and decorating company in the industry and I also sell Tastefully Simple.  Does anyone want to have a party?  (I do this to help bring in some extra $ and am able to say home with my children)   This is good for me now; adult conversation, I get to get a break from the children while my husband watches them, I work my own hours plus I have always loved a party hahaha.
6. After graduation I went to Buffalo Sate College and graduated with a B.F.A. In Design/Ceramics and a B.S. in Art Education.
7. During college my love for Italy brought me back there my junior year I did another study abroad program this time in Sienna Italy.
8. I then back packed around Europe for 6 months and visited some people I had met when I was in high school: France, Germany, England, Norway, Amsterdam (Netherlands), Denmark, Greece,  Austria, (what used to be) Czechoslovakia an Hungry .
9.  I took a ceramic class while in Italy and I fell in love with clay.  I decided that I would become a dual major.  Clay was my life.  My Senior year I applied for and was awarded with a grant from the Birchfield -Penny Art Center to do a site specific installation in the 60 foot long corridor.  I was the first Design major and female to be awarded this.
10. My biggest sculpture was 5'5" made out of clay (I am only 5'1").
11. I couldn't decide what course of career I wanted to follow whether to teach or go to grad school for ceramics so when the opportunity arose to work on a cruise ship I jumped at the idea (I have always had the travel bug).
12. I traveled all over the Caribbean and did a transatlantic crossing.   I sold the tours and was able to go on sea plane rides, submarine rides, helicopter tours, bus tours, snorkeling trips,  boat rides on many Islands in the Caribbean and Bermuda.
13.  Met my husband on the NYC - Bermuda run.  (he is a photographer)  He  then invited me back to England with him.  We traveled all around Whales and he asked me to marry him at a beer and wine festival at a castle.  We were married within 8 months of meeting each other.
14. We were married  3 times.  First time in Buffalo (small wedding chapel- we needed to get married because of immigration), 2nd time in Cloud Croft, New Mexico (hubby had a house their) friends and family all flew out.  3rd time in Pittsburgh, PA we needed it blessed by the Catholic church so that we could get my children baptized.
15. We lived in Durango, CO. for a little bit before his job brought us to Pittsburgh, PA.
16. I live in Columbiana, Ohio.  (Out of all the places in the world not my first choice) 1/2 hour south of Youngstown, 1 hour west of Pittsburgh (where I go to for some culture).
17. I  almost died last summer after having my   fourth baby.  I came down with a staph infection in my eye when my baby was 1 week old. I was in the hospital for 2 weeks while others took care of my newborn.  It was the hardest thing I have gone through in my life.  I was on I.V. antibiotics for 6 weeks at home, and because I wanted to nurse her so bad I pumped and dumped for 8 weeks  hoping she would still nurse. (which she did.
18.  I stopped smoking when all that happened.  Second hardest thing in my life.
19.  All my children have shared my bed.
20.  I am a Boy Scout leader to my second son's Den.
21.  I do enjoy reality T.V.  I like Amazing Race, Survivor and for the romance The Baccalaureate.  (I can't help it)
22.  I enjoy reading although I don't have much time, I prefer Historical fiction.
23.  I love my family more than anything in the world, and strive to have a happy, stable, loving home life unlike what i had growing up.d.
24.  I look forward to seeing you all in a few weeks and having my own time!
25.  Someday I hope to have my own ceramic's studio when my children are older.
