Carey was my best friend in jr. high school, and I was shocked when I learned of his passing. He was a great person who never seemed to have anything bad to say about anyone, he was a true joy to be around. I wish I could have kept in touch with him and his family after I moved. He will be truly missed by his friends and family.

My memory of Carey was in Mrs. Murphy's Public Speaking Class. He loved to work on things especially remodelling cars if I remember correctly. He had a passion at that time for that. He was a sincere down to earth person.

Carey and I went to BOCES together. We sat together on the bus everyday in back of Krista Dolphin and Cheryl Golding. We always had a good time for the ride and sometimes crossing paths on our way to our favorite place, the food line at BOCES. Unfortunately I never got to know him well outside of school perhaps because of where each of us lived. It came as a great shock to me the day I learned of his passing, definetely I felt the loss. It was an honor to meet his family, all of which you can tell are good people. He was always a good person to me and I'll always remember him as such.
