We played together as babies. Families went different ways and we would not see each other until junior high where we became friends through orchestra. All through junior and senior high school, she was Tandy and I was Sina switching the first letters of our names. She taught me to "double talk" and to enjoy "half-cooked pancakes" - her family's creation. Her mother became my second mother. She met her husband at school in Idaho. He had a pilot's license and was flying them home for her sister's bridal shower and a suprise baby shower for Sandy. The weather turned really bad and the plane flew into a mountain. Sandy, her husband, and their baby passed away together. Sandy was one of the brightest, sweetest, and kindest people I knew.
