William Parker

William “Bill” Theodore Parker, Jr. aka “Butch” of Leander, Texas passed peacefully surrounded by his family after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, August 1, 2018. He was 67 years of age. Bill was born on December 15, 1950 at Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, California to the late William Theodore Parker, Sr. and Mary Francis (White) Parker.

Bill was an adventurous one of a kind individuals. His smile, personality and sharp wit could be matched by no other and he was known for having a wicked sense of humor. He enjoyed over 36 years at H-E-B Grocery with countless friends and co-workers. Bill's family wishes people to know he had many passions including but not limited to, swimming, spending time at the beach, scuba diving, cooking, grilling, riding his motorcycles, fishing, disk golf, cheering on his favorite football team the Texans, watching is favorite Nascar driver Tony Stewart, his many infamous games of solitaire and of course his faith and love of his family. He adored his fur babies Roxy and Bella. He will certainly never be forgotten by those who knew and loved him.

Bill married the former Jennifer Reese on July 25, 1996 by the Justice of the Peace in Cedar Park, Texas. He later became a Catholic and they were married at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Manor, Texas. Bill and Jennifer enjoyed 22 amazing years together full of love and laughter.

In addition to his wife Bill is survived by, children, Kevin Murphy, Donna Blake (Kevin), Juleli “Joie” Cawkwell (Mark) and William Tony Parker (Sharon); Siblings, Fiona Stewart, Sandra Kurz (Ken), and James Parker (Cindy); Mother-in-law, Gloria Hernandez-Reese; Brothers-in-law, Ronny Reese (Ophelia), Daniel Hernandez (Holly), and James Reese (Yvette); and Sister-in-law, Diana Johnson; Grandchildren, Justin Ramirez, Drake Parker, Nickole Cawkwell, Julie Archuleta, Tiana Blake, Mattison Parker, Mykenzie Parker, and Kaiah Murphy; Nephews, Jeffery Kurz, Douglas Kurz, Raymond Stewart, Andrew Reese III, Aaron Reese, and Ishmael Johnson; Nieces, Taylor Parker, Michelle Ryan, Monique Simien, Ashley Reese, and Paige Hernandez and 5 beautiful Great Grandchildren, Jaylene, Natasha, Aliyah, Mariah, and Kaiden Ramirez.

The family would like to give a special heartfelt thank you to the Halcyon Home Hospice Care Team but especially to Anita and Debbie for their wonderfully warm compassionate care even after Bill's passing. Thank you so much ladies, you were both awesome!!
