Jim Witt and I (Marni Wilder Archibald) were close friends from early childhood and we remained close throughout his entire life. His mother told me that we shared cribs together at The First Congregational Church because so many babies were born close together and we both stayed close to the church through high school sharing rides to and from. Jim introduced me to my first husband, but I finally forgave him for that! Jim met his wife Rose in college and they lived in Long Beach for many years before retiring to Paso Robles. He was successful in life and marriage and he left so many good friends behind. I saw and cried with him shortly before he passed. He will remain one of my lifelong friends and I sorely miss him and his sage advice.
