Daniel Patrick Croak Aug. 4, 1981 — Nov. 22, 2001 Daniel Patrick Croak of Longmont died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2001, the result of an automobile accident. He was 20. He was born Aug. 4, 1981, to Thomas E. and Marion (Muller-Ali) Croak in Longmont. He attended Northridge Elementary and Longs Peak Junior High and graduated from Longmont High School in 1999. He participated in many extra-curricular activities.
He attended Colorado State University and planned to begin his junior year in the spring. He was a resident adviser in Newsom Hall his sophomore year.
Mr. Croak’s life was characterized by happiness, which he spread to all he met. He had too many friends to count. He was able to find good in everyone he met and seemed to bring out the best in all.
He was active in the Young Neighbors in Action program through the Longmont Spirit of Peace Catholic Community. Mr. Croak is survived by his mother and father, Marion and Thomas E. Croak; two brothers, Brian and Michael Croak; an uncle, the Rev. David P. Croak; Esther Bal; his grandmother, Annemarie Ludwig of Heroldsburg, Germany; aunt and uncles Monika and James Houstoun of Pennsylvania, Michael and Barbara Muller-Ali of Hawaii, Ludwig and Lydia Muller-Ali of Heroldsburg, Germany, and Andrea Lierman and her family in Lyons, Fort Collins and Denver; and a cousin, Monika Ann Houstoun of Maryland.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7 p.m. today at Spirit of Peace Catholic Church, located at 15th Avenue and Hover Street.
A wake service will be held at 7 p.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 27, at Spirit of Peace Catholic Church. Mass of the Resurrection will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2001, at Spirit of Peace Catholic Church, with the Rev. David Croak of Shrine of St. Anne Catholic Church in Arvada as celebrant.
Interment at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Spirit of Peace for the Young Neighbors in Action program in care of Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
Dan is very missed. One of my favorite memories was the two or three weeks Dan, Nate Carlson and I spent in my basement making cardboard boats in 8th grade. we must have watch Roger Rabbit 15 times and ate about 25 hamburger stand 10 cent burgers each.
