Cause of Death: SADS Sudden Arithmetic Death Syndrome-Heart DisorderSurvived By: Parents Donna and Jamie Gillmore of Johnstown and his sister Katie Gillmore of Denver.

Along with Jay's High School Graduation including Certified Welder he was also a Graduate of DENVER AUTOMOTIVE AND DIESEL COLLAGE on September 23, 2002 with high honors of Magna Cum Laude. He enjoyed working on vehicles with his close friends Evan and Erin Goldstrand at T & D foreign Car Shop in Hygiene known as "The Compound" where many many good times were shared with friends. There he worked part time as an Auto Mechanic and began the never ending project of modifying a 1985 Toyota 4 Runner into what has been dubbed "The Beast" for its gnarly 4 wheeling abilities. The Beast Project still endures at Jay's parents home where they continue to modify it and have added personal license plates "JAYOTA" to honor their son and remember his 4 wheeling passion. Traveling with friends was also very important to Jay and he made the most of it in Jamaica, Hawaii, Mexico, Oregon, Lake Powell and many ski resorts around Colorado. Snow boarding Berthoud Pass was an absolute must for him many times every season. Most recently Jay was rooming with his friend Brandon Johnson and working in Boulder as a precision machinist creating metal and glass pieces for government contracts. He was also very creative working with glass blowing. Brandon, now married is expecting a baby boy who will be named Vincent Jay Johnson. What a great honor that is to Jay. Thanks Brandon and Jodi. A tradition began when Jay died 3 years ago where his friends and family meet on April 1 at the local Irish bar and have a Jagermeiiter drink in his memory. And if you count yourself among his friends you are welcome to join us in this annual tradition. One thing I always remember about Jay and the first thing that comes to my mind is his smile. He was always smiling. When he was around it seemed like everyone else started smiling too. He was a great guy. He is missed
