Doyle was killed in a car crash on a back road near Mead in 1981. I remember him as being intelligent, kind and thoughtful.
He played trombone very well and could play a kick-ass solo around tough changes! I remember him playing a solo on the tune "Cherokee" during jazz band and wondering "how the hell does he make it sound so good"!?
His funeral was attended by many of his classmates including myself. I think of him sometimes and count the rose peddles that my daughters leave for me.
Doyles parents and my parents used to get together to play penny anny poker. We thought we were special to play poker with our parents. Doyles father and my father both worked at Kodak together. They would car pool every day to work. We lived on Mount Evans and they lived on Hilltop. Our families did things together. Every class reunion I bring a yellow rose to his parents and will do the same this class reunion. Anita
