Stephen Eugene Tolbert was born January 6, 1947. On February 1, 2017, Steve lost his battle with cancer. Steve was a lifetime resident of Longview/Lake Cherokee. He graduated from Longview High School and Stephen F. Austin State University. He served the community as the President of the Longview Jaycee’s. Steve retired from Tolbert’s Office Machines, where he had worked side by side with his mother, Doris Tolbert, and father, Gene Tolbert.
Steve has two loving daughters and their families to carry on his legacy. Tracy Choate of Benton, LA; her husband Trent, and their 5 children. Brandee Rush of Pikeville, NC; her husband Dave and their 3 children. He will be lovingly remembered by his sister Terry Tolbert Plunk, her husband Sam, and their two sons and their families. Mr. Tolbert was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn Reavis Tolbert.
Graveside service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, February 4th at Memory Park Cemetery, 2823 E. Marshall Ave.; Longview, TX.
