I remember a cattle judging contest trip to Goldendale/Yakima in 10th Grade FFA. A bunch of us were crammed in the back of a Dodge school district pickup, canopy door missing, for the entire trip. Gary was totally sacked out warm in his sleeping bag with a female Junior who shall remain un-named. Rarely did they pop up for air. It was a fun and wild trip. Today, if our kids took a school field trip in the back of a pick-up truck, the teacher would probably be tarred, feathered and banned to Eastern Montana.
Gary was always kind to me and good to others. I will always miss his sense of humor and smile.
