Kim L. Fickas, 35, of Loogootee, passed away at 10:15 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, 2007 at Memorial Hospital, Jasper.
Born July 4, 1972, in Anchorage, Alaska, she was the daughter of Donald L. and Charlotte A. (Baker) Rogers.

She was a registered emergency room nurse at Memorial Hospital, Jasper, and Bloomington Hospital or Orange County in Paoli. She attended Our Lady of Springs Catholic Church in French Lick. She was an active member for Relay For Life.

She is survived by her husband, Gerald F. Fickas Jr., whom she married Oct. 18, 2002; two sons, Alex and Zackary Fickas, at home; parents, Donald and Charlotte Rogers of Burns City; three sisters, Carmen Dyer of Burns City, Pamela Tedrow of Shoals, and Dawn Wadsworth of Odon, and several nieces and nephews.
