Carl Cicerrella, 59, Lorain School Board Member, of Lorain, died Thursday, Octover 5, 2006 at Community Health Partners Hospital in Lorain.
He was born July 14, 1947 in Lorain and been a lifelong Lorain area resident.
Carl was a 1965 graduate of Admiral King High School. He attended Bowling Green State University where he earned a Bachelor Degree in comprehensive science and a Master's Degree in school administration.
Carl worked at Southview High School in Lorain for 35 years as a Science Teacher before retiring in 2005. While at Southview he served as the Key Club advisor. Carl was active with Lorain City schools and current was serving on the Lorain City school board in which he was elected in 2005.
He was a member of the Catholic Church of St. Peter in Lorain and Kiwanis Club of Lorain. He enjoyed golfing.
He is survived by his wife off 34 years Anna Mary Cicerrella (nee Machoroni), sons: Carl Cicerrella and his wife Sue of Amherst and James Cicerrella of Lorain, daughter Monica Cicerrella of Lorain, grandchildren Alex Cicerrella and Ashley Cicerrella, mother Mary Cicerrella (nee De Marco) of Florida and brother Michael Cicerrella of Flordia and Charles Cicerrella of Amherst. He was preceded in death by his father Michael Cicerrella.

Mr. C, as we called him,was a great inspiration. I really enjoyed Key Club because of his commitment. I was excited to learn he had run for a political office-he was the right person for the job. Lorain needs more Mr. C's!
