LORAIN — Damis “DC” Crawford, 30, of Lorain died unexpectedly on Friday, August 13, 2010.
He was born January 19, 1980 in Los Angeles California and lived in the Lorain area for 24 years. He was a 1999 graduate of Southview High School and attended college at Devry Institute in Columbus OH.
Damis was employed with U.S. Security Association in Lorain and previously worked at Inland RC LLC in Elyria. He was a member of Crossroads Christian Center in Oberlin.
He enjoyed rapping, watching movies, fishing and spending time with his family.
Damis will be sadly missed by his wife, Jacqueline E. Crawford (nee Nieter) and sons, D’Angelo Davis and Damis Crawford Jr. and a daughter, D’Avanique A. Davis, all of Lorain; parents, Randy E. Crawford Sr. and Cynthia A. Craword (nee Johnston) of Lorain; a sister, Iesha Crawford of Lorain; brothers, Brandy Crawford of Lorain and Randy Crawford Jr. of Cleveland; mother-in law, Leigh Ann Nieter of Lorain; god-brother, Anthony Williams of Michigan; sister-in-law, Asianna Nieter of Lorain; maternal grandfather, Thaddeus Johnston Sr. of Garfield Heights OH and paternal grandparents, Howard & Betty Crawford of Garfield Heights OH and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Damis was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Iola “Lola” R. Johnston.
Visitation will be held tomorrow, Aug 19, from 2:00 - 4:00 PM, with a repast immediately following at New Bethel PB Church, 3880 Dayton Ave. in Lorain, where funeral services will begin at 6:00 p.m. Pastor Santo Davila of Crossroads Christian Center will officiate the services.
Memorial contributions can be made to the “Damis Crawford Memorial Fund” at any First Federal Savings and Loan Bank in Lorain.
