Simon Raistrick died on March 1, 2015, of a drug overdose. He had been struggling with addiction for some years. He was born April 27, 1980, in California, but spent his childhood in Los Alamos, NM, with frequent summer trips to England, where his father is from, as well as trips to New Zealand, France, and Greece. This awakened the travel bug in Simon. He formed close friendships in his kindergarten class at Barranca Mesa School ... friendships that have lasted all his life.

Man, I didn't know about this. Simon and I both lived on Barranca Mesa for a while growing up, and used to sneak out of the house at night sometimes, to wander around the mesa and try to avoid being spotted by the cops haha. He was a good guy, this really makes me sad. RIP man.
