Joseph Michael "Mike" Haskins, 17, died Friday, Oct. 11, 1996, as a result of an automobile accident.

Haskins, who was born in Meridian, Miss., had lived in Los Alamos since 1989. He was a junior at Los Alamos High School

Family members said, "Mike enjoyed life, living it to the fullest. He was an avid backpacker, camper, rock climber, and motorcyclist. He was gifted with mechanical ability and planned to have a motorcycle repair business in the future. Mike was loved and will be missed by many."

Family members also noted, "Because of Mike's foresight in being a organ donor, Mike will live on in the lives of many others."
