Donzella Kensey

I have been enjoying life and taking absolutely nothing for granted. They say with age comes wisdom and time teaches you to focus on things that are important. I put God first in my life and allow Him to lead and guide me in my decision making and I make it a point to appreciate family and friends while their alive.

I came to Fremont in 1972, I was a transfer student from Locke High School. My cousin Raynette Williams (deceased) also transferred with me from Locke. When we arrived at Fremont we were hesitant because we felt as though we were strangers. We were noticed immediately because we made it a point to be well dressed and groomed daily. We were greeted by more guys initially. but we soon blended in after going to some of the favorite eating spots, like Alice's (great tacos!) and Mc Crary's for burgers. We soon found that things were no different at Fremont than at any other high school. I really enjoyed my teen years and would not trade any experience I've had for the world!
