Earl Foster

Dear Friends of Earl, my beloved husband of 48 yrs.went to see Jesus on his 82nd Birthday, Friday, Feb. 14th 2020, St. Valentine's Day. In his last 4yrs.he had been healthy and active at church, Gideons in passing out New Testaments to people every day. He never met a stranger. Earl visited shut-ins prayed and blessed them with love from Jesus. Several times I would ask him to stay home on a Saturday so he could get some rest, somehow I believe he knew his time was growing short so he just kept going. Wow, what a guy.
He loved me to the fullest of his heart and told me everyday and showed me everyday the commitment of his vows with hugs and kisses. I couldn't have had a greater hubby or a man of greater honor and intregrity. His oldest daughter Neva and and youngest daughter Octavia, both know the Lord as their Savior. They know where their dad now lives and rejoice. Blessed be the Lord. As for his son Steve and middle daughter Sandra - they didn't share his love or happiness in God. Earl's greatest regret was that he raised his first family without Christ being the center of the home. Earl was diagnosed with lung cancer on Jan. 25th this yr. He died 2 weeks later. Best Birthday Party EVER!! Most of Jan. he was in and out of the hospital. When his doctor told him he had terminal cancer, she wept openly. They had beautiful caring and love for each other. She is East Indian and he witnessed up a storm to her. She listened closely and the Word was planted. Four nurses told me that in all their careers they had never seen one person receive as many visitors as Earl. Earl's pastor Mike Barnard, told me that in his life as a minister, he had never seen anyone so beloved by a church family as Earl. Cremation has taken place .Octavia, her husband Jeremy and Tavi's twins Zane and Wyatt came up from Loomis, Ca. Jeremy has handled a lot of paper/computer. Tavi has given me great hugs. For me, I will grieve as I miss him so much but my happiness and joy is almost immeasurable. Glory to God!Right this very moment I picture him running, leaping, jumping in heaven. Playing chase with the children in the Garden and linking arms with Jesus shouting Glory to God!! I will be closing Earl's Facebook account in 30 days .His computer will be turned off in 30 days and put on the shelf. To all that loved him I thank you for your joy in knowing that he's in heaven waiting on all the rest of us. He would say to you "I'll meet you there".

From his loving wife, Sherri Foster.

Earl and I were best friends and buddies.  I'm not sure I could have made it through the teen years without his friendship.  Many shared memories camping in the wilderness, fly fishing, working on a survey crew, studying together in tough physics class.  I was close to his Mom and Dad in addition.  He was best man at my wedding.  I was fortunate to have known him.
