Pap-pa always had a smile on his face and a wonderful outlook on life. He was so special and one of the most Christian men I have ever known. He was kind to everyone. He loved his family and my husband is the man he is because of his dad. From the moment Jim took me home to meet the family one Christmas Eve, Pap-pa welcomed me. He loved me unconditionally and excepted me into the family. I was never just "Jim's wife" or a "daughter-IN-LAW". He loved me like one of his daughters and I loved him as a dad.

When I think of Pap-pa I always think of the Easter Egg hunts when I was younger. God, I loved those. Then we I was older I remember him whistling for everyone to get out of his way, and then him laughing at us when we realized we were standing in a direct path of the tv. I also remember the way he used to hold his hand curled in his lap. I always thought it was from the stroke, but I have a picture of Pap-pa, dad, and me sitting on the couch and we are all sitting with our hands curled in our laps. Most of all I remember even as a teenager noticing the way he looked at my dad with such love. I think about how much he would enjoy Alec and Aidan.
