sorry its so late but hear is the quote of the day
it deals with one of my struggles.

If you as parents cut corners, your children will too. If you lie, they will too. If you spend all your money on yourselves and tithe no portion of it for charities, colleges, churches, synagogues, and civic causes, your children won't either. And if parents snicker at racial and gender jokes, another generation will pass on the poison adults still have not had the courage to snuff out.

OK...new update...
Lisa just called. The doctor (a different one) was just in. She has multiple blood clots in each lung. She will see a pulmonary (lung), cardiogist (heart), hemotologist (blood) and regular doctor while in the hospital at least 3 to 5 days. They are giving her a bit of medicine to calm her. I told her to go to sleep. She really misses being on this forum and said to say hello.

very good David. Kids have it hard enough these days. Whatever morals and values they can take from our lives is to a big advantage for them. Remember, kids get more from watching us then they do from us telling them what is right or wrong.

Everyone please remember to pray for Lisa as she fights to rid herself of these bloodclots. Pray for her doctors to be able to deal quickly with these issues. This is a SERIOUS matter.

Update on Lisa: She has been through hell today. They have poked and prodded every bit of her today. She has had heart and legs ultrasounds, EKG's, echocardigram, A main pic put in, iron transfusion, medicines intraveniously, blood drawn several times, doctors galore coming in asking same questions, and listening and feeling around. She is wiped out!!! She will be there at least 5 more days. Then she will have many many appointments to the various docs. She will have a sleep apnea test on the 27th of February. And a hysterectomy will come in the near future also. Please keep her in your prayers often. Kristie and David have the kids tonight. (Thank you)

Still waiting to hear how Mickeys MRI went today. Not sure when those results will be in.

Nicole Short (Hallman) Poor Aunt Lisa! That is HORRIABLE!!! I hope she gets well soon and she is in our prayers! Aunt Debi, I just watched/listened to the youtube video... WOW that man is AMAZING! If I fly I want him as my Captain THAT'S FOR SURE! What a miracle!

Sherri Short (Chappell) Thanks Debi for the info. Really does help since I just got home from work and hadn't heard anything. Vicki and I both feel so helpless. It is so hard not to be there for these things.

Sherri Short (Chappell) Vicki says everyone is praying for Lisa and our love will get her through this. Thanks everyone for helping Lisa and Debi for taking Mom to the hospital. Hope Mickey is recovering also. We are all becoming stronger as a family and that is such a good thing. Rick is doing so much better since his medicine is right and Mom seems to be doing better than ever.

David Short mickey could not do the test today. he like lisa freaks out in the catscan and the mri.but he went to sunday morning and night church
