ok...hello all! Our power has been out all evening untill now. We have been playing games in the dark after going down the street to dinner. We tried to play a dice game over speaker phone with ther Bumanns and Sherri, but Donn cheated!!. Now our power is ona nd we are happy!!

Lisa is having not so good of a day today. She was moved to a different room (transitionAL CARE) she is very concerned about the blood clots not going away, (which IS a possibility)but one I am not considering!! Tomorrow WILL be better. I will keep you all updated. Keep her and her family in your prayers!!

Hope everyone survived the wind storm!! Love you all!

Hello Everyone! Hope you have had a terrific day!!
I spent the day with Lisa. She seemed better today although somewhat grouchy!!!;] We walked the hallways a few times which is a first for her. Her blood is still low, she received more iron and more blood today. She is getting blood thinners through the IV and also by mouth. Her blood needs to be 3-4 times thinner than it is now before she can go home. Jenny, I am not sure how to answer your question. From what I have heard and from what Scott has heard, the clots will dissolve from the thinners. ACCORDING to Lisa...they are never going away, only possibly getting smaller. I am going to follow up on this with a friend of ours who is a specialist, also Kristie, can you ask at your work?? I think they will go away which is why they are keeping her in the hospital somewhat calm.
Her spirits were better today which is good. Even Scotty seemed a little more at peace. So keep praying for them both! God definately hears!! Love you all!

Hello to all. I spent the night with Vicki and Jim in Ft. Meyers last night. We had a great time at the beach and ate dinner and watched the sun set. Watched the beautiful full moon come up and it was an incredible site. Played dice with Debi and Donn.

Vicki and Jim played golf and had to work around a two foot alligator on the second hole. They are staying in a really nice place.

Love to all. Prayers for Lisa everyday and Mickey......

Debi,
I did talk to one of my Doctors today about Pulmonary Embolis...It usually takes about 6-9 months for them to disolve, but the blood has to stay thin for it to flow through and break up...That is why she has to stay in patient until they get her blood at a good theraputic level.Once her labs are more consistant in density she will be able to go home. After visiting w/ Lisa today I thought up more questions and will be asking my docs those tomorrow...I wish she was under their care so I could have a better understanding of what is going on. Debra Lou Short (Dissell) They did say she would be on the blood thinner for at least 6 months. I forgot to tell you all that Lisa is no longer on the oxygen. Also she was not taking as much pain medicine, although by 4:30 she was having pain in her chest. Where has everyone been?? No one is ever on here at night. I miss the banter!!
