
William Armstrong Campbell, 75, passed peacefully from this life to the next in Walla Walla, WA on July 6, 2024, with his daughter by his side.
Often known as Wild Bill, he served his country with honor in the US Navy aboard the USS Sacramento during the Vietnam War and aboard the USS Iwo Jima during the Lebanon War. He took great pride in his service, serving both active and reserve duty.
He had a love for his family, which was a cornerstone of his life. As well, he was an ardent Christian and passionate in his love for God. He enjoyed history, hunting with friends, good food and good conversation. If there was fun to be had, you could count him in! He had a heart filled with humor and also kindness and everyone he met was a friend. He truly lived life to the fullest extent.
William leaves behind his children whom he loved so very much; Eric Scott Campbell (Misty) and Tara Lee Wyrembelski (Steven). He is also survived by his precious grandsons, Alexander Campbell, Linus Wyrembelski, and Wyatt Wyrembelski.
He will be remembered by his beloved sister, Margaret Campbell. And brothers-in-law Keith McBride (Sandy) and Larry Fuller (Debbie). Along with his nephews; Stuart Bumgarner (May) and Grant Fuller (Samantha) - and nieces; Meghan Medley (Jeremy) and Heather McBride.
By 1-year and 1-day he is preceded in death by his wife, Donna Lee, whom he was blessed to spend nearly 52 years of his life. They are now reunited in eternity.
William is also preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Stuart, and his beloved brother, Michael. Along with his parents-in-law, Robert and Carra Lee, and his nephew, Matthew.
