
Kevin S. BOSSIE , 48, of Loveland passed away on May 18, 2011, at Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, surrounded by his loving family and friends.
He was born Oct. 10, 1962, in Rochester, N.Y., to Roger and Dona Maria (Schwartz) Bossie. He moved with his family to Loveland in 1971. Kevin graduated from Loveland High School in 1981 and attended Colorado State University before starting his career with Kodak, and later CareStream Health Inc. in Windsor, Colo
He was overjoyed to marry Lisa Duarte on May 18, 1990, in Loveland and cherished his time with her before she preceded him in death on Oct. 28, 1992. Kevin later married Dawn Dayton on May 8, 1995, and, though they later divorced, was rewarded with a meaningful relationship with her that lasted throughout his life.
Of his many gifts, his most prized was his relationship with his beloved sons, Mike and Shay. He was a loyal friend and developed many lifelong friendships. He was a much-loved father, son, brother, uncle and friend. Kevin was happy to share his love of sports with everyone he could. He was hilariously funny, a great storyteller who would have everyone in the room in tears with laughter.
Kevin is survived by his two sons, Mike Bossie of Fort Collins and Shay Bossie of Loveland; his stepson, Paul Hanson of Vail, Colo.; his mother, Dona Bossie of Loveland; brother, David Bossie and wife Kari of Loveland; and sister Carole Powley and husband Roger of Loveland; lifelong friends Butch Giadone and his wife Juan; along with several nephews and nieces.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Lisa, and his father, Roger Bossie.
A Celebration of Kevin’s Life will take place at p.m. Thursday, May 26, 2011, at Zion Lutheran Church in Loveland. Cremation has been completed. Kevin passed away on his wedding anniversary to Lisa and will be laid to rest beside her in Loveland Burial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Kevin S. Bossie Memorial Fund, which will be used for his children, in care of Kibbey Fishburn Funeral Home
