Funeral services for Yvonne Ramos Wiley, 40, of Dallas, formerly of Lubbock, Texas, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 23, 2011, in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with Msgr. David Cruz officiating. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in Guajardo Funeral Chapels. Burial will be in Peaceful Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Guajardo Funeral Chapels. Yvonne went home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 18, 2011. She was born to Jerry and Raymunda Ramos on Jan. 5, 1971, in Lubbock, Texas. Yvonne graduated from Lubbock High in 1989. She attended Saint Mary College in Dodge City, Kan., South Plains College in Levelland and Texas Tech University. She recently received an associate's degree from Richland College in Dallas, Texas. Yvonne worked as an office manager for Trinity Meadows Apartments in Dallas. She was an outstanding athlete. She enjoyed volleyball, basketball, softball and any challenging sport. Yvonne was a very loving, joyful and caring person, especially with her parents, family and children. She enjoyed bringing laughter to those around her. Besides her regular job duties, she had special talent for serving and helping others, especially the poor, the lowly and the needy. She would make extra effort to lend a helping hand and could tell if a person was in real need. Those left to cherish Yvonne's memories are her former husband, Anthony Wiley of Dallas; daughter, Devynn Ramos of Dallas; son, Anthony Wiley Jr. of Dallas; parents, Jerry and Raymunda Ramos of Lubbock; sister, Stella Ramos; brothers, Raymond (Sandra) Ramos and Arthur Ramos, all of Lubbock; and granddaughter, Mylah Washington of Dallas. She was preceded in death by her sister, Raquel Ramos in 1975.
