Services for Anju Gill, 35, of Dallas will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday at Resthaven's Abbey Chapel. Cremation will follow at Resthaven Crematory.
Anju died on Monday, April 17, 2006, in Dallas.
She was born on Sept. 26, 1970 in Nairobi, Kenya. She graduated from Lubbock High School in 1989, and received her undergraduate and masters degrees in art History at SMU. She worked at The Meadows Museum for several years before working for Plains Capital Corporation in the Human Resources department.
Anju had a great love for animals, dogs being her favorite. She loved helping others, especially children. She loved art, and was highly knowledgeable in many areas of life. Her intellectual pursuits included appreciation of arts and literature, reading, and keeping abreast of developing issues that affected humanity.
Anju is a loving daughter and sister; survived by her parents Dr. Gurdev and Savita Gill, brother Rajeev Gill and his loving pet Shadow all of Lubbock.
The family suggests memorials to the SPCA of Texas, 362 South Industrial Blvd., Dallas, TX 75207.
