Tommy Hibdon

Tommy Hibdon LUBBOCK-Tommy Hibdon of Lubbock passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at the age of 46. He was born Jan. 17, 1970, in Lubbock to Jerry Hibdon and Rayetta Laney. He graduated from Lubbock High School in 1989 and went on to attend Texas Tech University, receiving his business degree in 2002 from Lubbock Christian University. Tommy was the assistant general manager for First Transit in Broward County, Florida. He was married to his high school sweetheart Lynnetta Denise Schwartz who preceded him in death on May 11, 2004. His passion in life was his family. Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Kaitlyn Hibdon of Lubbock; mother and stepfather, Rayetta and Wayne Patton of Lubbock; father and stepmother, Jerry and Heidi Hibdon of Amarillo; brothers, Tracy Hibdon, Shawn Hibdon, Anthony Hibdon, all of Lubbock and George Hibdon of Amarillo; and his paternal grandmother, Joyce Hibdon of Lubbock. Tommy was preceded in death by his wife; maternal grandparents, Raymond and Edna Laney; paternal grandfather, Leroy Hibdon; and a cousin, Raymond Laney. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2016, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Combest Family Memorial Chapel. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, May 5, 2016, at Combest Family Memorial Chapel with interment to follow in City of Lubbock Cemetery.
