David Martin RIDGEWOOD, NJ-David Martin, 43, of Glen Rock, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014. Born in Laramie, WY, he resided in Lubbock, Texas, before moving to New York City in 1995. He moved from New York to Glen Rock ten years ago to raise his family. A 1995 graduate of Texas Tech with a Bachelor's Degree in theater, he earned a Master's of Fine Arts in set design from Tisch School of the Arts at NYU in 1998. He pursued his love of design with his business, LIV Design. David loved the outdoors. He enjoyed spending time with his beautiful family in Montauk, NY. He ran the NYC marathon in 2013 and he raced in other events. He also enjoyed fishing and snowboarding. David was the Cub Scouts pack leader for pack #14. David married the love of his life, Amy Ferrante, in July of 2000. He was a loving and devoted father to Jasper, Theodore, and Phoebe Martin. He was the cherished son of Clyde and Joyce Martin; dear brother of Robert Martin, Terri Verdone, and his twin sister, Elizabeth SoRelle. He was the proud grandson of Maxine Martin. A celebration of David's life is planned for Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at The Women's Club of Ridgewood, 215 West Ridgewood Avenue, Ridgewood, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of David to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, 1275 York Avenue, New York, NY 10065, would be appreciated.
