Saturday Night.

I really think we should have the Saturday night event some place other than Lucedale. Not only becouse I'm going to need a few drinks to come to this thing, but also becouse of the lack of anywhere to have it. I know it's been a few years since I have been down there so maybe things have changed? Is there a resturant or a space to have a large group? What about catering? Hotels? Moblie would seem the best, since the coast is still not what it use to be if I hear correctly.  That is were we all went shopping, eating, movies anyway. Thoughts?

Due to the size of the croud Lucedale will not be an option. The decision reached during the planning meeting on 7/24 was for the "Saturday Night Social Committee" to select 3 or 4 venues in Mobile and the Gulf Coast and present it to the class for final selection.

I say let's just stick with Mobile as our location and myself, Andrea, Jana, and Shelley will find us a great location to book some rooms and have our Saturday night dinner.

Do we have any choices on the locations in Mobile yet? if so stick the places up with the menu types and majority decides?  It looks like thats the way we are doing most of this isn't it?

Hey there Alice. That's exactly what the Planning Team is planning to do. Tonight each committe person is responsible for providing the options (inclusions etc) and pricing. We will then present the options to the class and obtain input. That will allow us to look at expense across all the events and determine a cost to each classmate.

 The goal is to have the following options

1) Restaurant option

2) Hotel with heavy finger foods (because I can't spell that fancy word. LOL)

3) Hotel with dinner

At this time I have one suite left. It has a living room connected to a bedroom with two double beds. The rate is 195.00 per night plus tax. That's not bad at all. What are the other places saying? Also do they have a banquet area? Or is everybody meeting one place to eat and another to party?
