Gone but not forgotten!
Joseph D. Seidl, 55, Luxemburg, passed away Sunday afternoon, September 9, 2007 at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay, after a long series of illnesses.
Joe was born November, 4, 1951, in Green Bay, the son of Cletus and Alice (Daul) Seidl. he graduated from Luxemburg-Casco High School in 1970 and continued his education at UW-Green Bay and the Madison School of Electronics.
On September 13, 1975, he married Lynn Stahl at St. Mary Church, Luxemburg. Joe worked for and was also part owner of Seidl Construction until he became disabled. He cofounded a new business MJC Supply in 2004.
Joe was a member of St. Mary Church, where he was also a member of the Holy Name Society. He was elected as a Luxemburg Village Trustee in 2002 and was currently serving Luxemburg in that capacity. Joe was honored as an Outstanding Luxemburg-Casco High School Alumni in 2002. He loved his family, the Beatles, computers and his faithful canine companion, Kecka.
Joe will be missed by his wife, Lynn; and their three children, Kim (special friend, Ryan Meader), Greg (fiancee, Kristin Nitka) and Molly (special friend, Bradley Anderson); his parents, Cletus and Alice Seidl, Luxemburg; two brothers and two sisters-in-law, Jack and Mary Kay, Luxemburg; Jim and Kathleen Seidl, Michigan; one sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Mike Gotstein, Casco. He is also survived by his father-in-law and motehr-in-law, Ervin and Barbara Stahl, Luxemburg; and his three sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law, Lori and Carl Juza, Kris and Jack Skaletski and Ann and Russ Seidl, all of Green Bay. His nieces and nephews include Steve Seidl, Chris Gotstein, David Seidl, Anne Frea, Susan Rickert, Sarah Wozny, Beth Gotstein, Adam Juza, Ryan Juza, Matt Skaletski, Beth Seidl, Lauren Seidl and Emily Skaletski.
Joe was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Caroline Seidl and Ray and Clara Daul.
Friends may call at the McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG, 3;30 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Septtember 12, 2007. Prayer service at 6 p.m. Visitation will continue from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Luxemburg. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. with Rev. Milton Suess officiating. Furial in St. Mary Cemetery, Luxemburg.
Joe's family would like to thank the medical personnel who have cared for him the past 14 years and the Luxemburg Rescue Squad.
