Gone but not forgotten!
Raymond DeGrave, a 23-year old Luxemburg man, was one of two drivers killed in a Highway 54 collision in the Town of Scott shortly after 5 a.m. Monday, September 22, 1975 while on his way to work at Charmin Paper Company. The accident occurred in the New Franken area, about 1.5 miles east of the intersection of Highways 57 and 54.
Funeral services for the Luxemburg victim, Raymond DeGrave, are scheduled at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Louis Church, Dyckesville, the Rev. Gerald Kempen to officiate, and entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. The visitation at the McMahon funeral home at Luxemburg begins at 2 p.m. Wednesday. There will be a wake service at 8 p.m.
Mr. DeGrave, son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman DeGrave, was born in the Town of Montpelier on April 20, 1952. He graduated from Luxemburg-Casco High School and at the time of his death was a member of the Green Bay unit of the US Army Reserve.
His marriage to Mary Falish was performed April 20, 1974 at St. Louis Church, Dyckesville, and she survives with a son, Richard.
Also remaining are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Norman DeGrave; four brothers, Ronald, R3, Luxemburg; LeRoy and Larry, Green Bay, and Darwin, R1, New Franken; two sisters, Mrs. Maynard (Myra) Tebon, R3, Luxemburg, and Sharon, at home, and father and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Falish, R2, Luxemburg.
