After one year of college at Seattle Pacific, real life began pretty early as Chad Martin and I had our daughter Jordan in 1991. For the better part of the next 8 years I was a single, working mom. I started working at Intalco in 1997 doing clerical work and have since worked my way into a management position there.
In 1999 (while working out at a gym opened up briefly by classmate Alex Wynstra in Ferndale) I met my husband Robert. Robert is an English & PE teacher in Blaine. We married in 2000 and began the next generation of kids in our family in 2002 with the birth of Mackenzie. In 2004 our son Carson was born. Having one child graduating from high school and another just preparing to start preschool presents some very unique family challenges.
This past year we made a move from Lynden to Blaine. I am still working through the acceptance process of becoming a Borderite. I am not yet wearing orange & black, but in time I think it could happen.
I am looking forward to seeing everyone this summer!
