RE: Request songs for the Reunion Posted Sunday, June 27, 2010 09:09 PM What, no requests? I would think a generous dose of 60's Motown would be a great place to start. It's what we danced to for so many years! |

Hi Joanie -- I read your music request and realized that I'm probably off by a year or two with my request for Eagles' songs. The Eagles became popular in 1970-71, so I guess I wasn't listening to them until I got to college. Hard for me to remember that far back!. . . Sorry about that . . . but, I still like their stuff. I was definitely a fan of "Chicago" though and some of the other groups/people you named. Looking forward to seeing you at the reunion and listening to whatever music they play. It should be fun.

I would like to request that most of the songs played by the DJ be from the late 1960s – the years we were at Brush! This wasn’t done at the reunion I attended (25th) in 1995, and I think it would have made this reunion more enjoyable. I’d like to 2nd the earlier requests of Marilyn Robinson Box and Joan Noble Bonaminio. The two songs I’d like to specifically request were two songs played a lot at our basketball games during the 1970 Championship year: Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye (Steam) I Want You Back ( |

RE: Request songs for the Reunion Posted Saturday, July 17, 2010 02:48 PM There should definitely be plenty of Motown tunes...Four Tops, Temps, Supremes, Martha and the Vandellas...we did a lot of dancing to this music in high school. Thanks Larry Jerry |

RE: Request songs for the Reunion Posted Sunday, August 1, 2010 09:13 PM If you need me to bring any of the memories that you've mentioned, I've got most of them on vinyl (albums, ....remember them) about six feet from me. However, I was so much younger then the rest of you, I'm not sure I remember hearing them on the radio (remember those). :-) Can't wait to see you all again. |

RE: Request songs for the Reunion Posted Monday, August 2, 2010 04:10 PM Great list Joanie. What about a little Three Dog Night: "Feeling Alright", "Mama Told Me", "One", etc. or C.S&N or C.S.N.& Young (take your pick) along with anything from The Doors. Gosh, there IS just so much great music from our high school and college days. |
