Tom was one my best friends at Brush (and Greenview Jr. High).  He was mischevious and sometimes a pain in the butt..but he was a good person.  Tom was also a genious.  He was a year younger than the rest of us because he had been advanced a grade.  Every college in the country was after him including MIT. People always came to him for help with their homework.

One time at Greenview Jr. High Tom put a piece of his ice cream sandwich in a girl's mashed potatoes then ran away.  The rest of us got blamed for it and our punishment was cleaning the cafteria.   Needless to say when we got up with him we gave him a good pounding on the back. LOL.

I heard about Tom's death when I was about 20/21 years old.  A friend and I were at the Center Mayfield theater when we ran into some friends we knew at Brush.  I asked them if they had heard from Tom..and he said he had passed away.  I could not believe it..I had to say "what??" about five times before it sunk in.

It's a shame that Tom died so young.  He was a brilliant person who I think would have made a brilliant contribution to the world.
