MAIKUT BARBARA ANNE MAIKUT, age 58, of Mentor. Mrs. Maikut died Dec. 17, 2011 at Hospice House in Cleveland. She was born March 22, 1953 in East Cleveland. Mrs. Maikut had worked as a clinical manager of nursing for the Cleveland Clinic in Beachwood, prior to that she had worked at Huron Rd. Hospital for many years. She was a graduate of Cleveland State University and the Huron Rd. Hospital School of Nursing. A board member of the Cleveland Ballet and the Lake County Red Cross, as well as numerous nursing boards and groups at the Cleveland Clinic. She was grateful for all of the patients who touched her life. Mrs. Maikut had received the Emma Barr Nursing Award for excellence in clinical nursing, was a member of St. Andrew Episcopal Church in Mentor and a part of the hope and wellness committee at the church. Beloved mother of Erin (Christopher) Kubicki. Daughter of the late Robert and Jacqueline Patch. Beloved sister of Sue (Dennis) Corbett. Aunt of Nicole and Rob Corbett. Best friend of Debbie (Dennis) O'Brien. Dear companion of the late Bruce Beatty. Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m. Friday at BRUNNER SANDEN DEITRICK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER, 8466 MENTOR AVE., MENTOR, OH 44060, where the family will receive friends 4-8 P.M.
