Nelda Jo Chesney Newby, 57, of North Little Rock died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2001. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph L. Chesney.

Survivors include her loving husband of 39 years, Carlton Newby; daughter, Molly D’Alessio and husband, Ralph; grandson, Joey; and granddaughter, Lacy, all of Fort Walton Beach, FL; mother, Myrtle R. Chesney; and brother, Roger Chesney, both of Little Rock; and many, many friends who will miss her.

Nelda and her husband, Carlton, owned Creative Framers Inc., a custom picture framing business. She was a past worthy advisor of Westwood Rainbow Assembly and wanted everyone to know that she was proficient in progressive dominos. 

At Nelda’s request, her body will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2001, at Lifeline Baptist Church (corner of Baseline and Chicot in Little Rock.)
