Larry Dean Thompson, Sr., 54, of Little Rock, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 26, 1997.  He was a retired Major in the U.S. Army Reserve and a senior foreman for Pirelli Tire Corporation.  He was a member of Temple Baptist Church, Albert Pike Masonic Lodge #714, a life member of ROA and was a 32nd Degree Mason.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Thomason Thompson; two sons, Larry Dean Thompson, Jr. and Lance Todd Thompson both of Little Rock; one daughter, Misty Ann Thompson Purdom of Little Rock; eight brothers, Wayne Thompson of Bedford, Texas, Bennie Thompson of Cincinnati, Ohio, Carroll Thompson of North Little Rock, Harold Thompson, Richard Thompson, Jimmy Thompson, Charles Thompson and Max Oliver all of Little Rock; one sister, Benny Jean Cratty of Little Rock; and five grandchildren, Lance Edward Purdom, Seth Alexander Purdom, Jacob Todd Thompson, Tristan Hunter Thompson and Joshua Daniel Harrell.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. today at Huson Fureral Home Chaper, 6400 Mabelvale Pike, Little Rock with Rev. Richard Walters officiating.  Burial will be in Forrest Hills Cemetery.  Larry loved God, family, his wife, and his children, above all else.  Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
