Dorris L. "D.L." Conway

January 8, 1942 ~ July 9, 2020 (age 78)

Dorris L. "D.L." Conway, 78, of Mabelvale, passed away July 9, 2020 with his

family at his side. Born in Damascus, AR, the son of Otis and Mabel Conway,

he retired from Jacuzzi in July, 2004 after 35 years of dedicated service.

He loved to preach the gospel and spent many years doing this while working

and caring for his family.  He never declined an offer to share his love for

Christ. He attended Mabelvale Church of Christ where he loved and was loved

by everyone.  He was a wonderful example to everyone there and was extremely

frustrated over the last few months when the pandemic wouldn't allow

everyone to gather together.  Thankfully, the doors were reopened and not

even cancer could keep him away.

Preceded in death by his parents, son, James "Jim" Conway and sister, Glenna

Bearden, he is survived by his wife, Imogene (Lequieu) Conway; daughter,

Latitia Nichols (Ron) of East End; grandsons, Joshua Herndon (Millicent) of

Guy, AR, Jeremy Conway and Tim Morgan, both of Hot Springs; "adopted"

daughters, Pat Herndon Williams of Bauxite and Linda Mullins Corrigan of

Mabelvale; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation is Sunday, July 12 from 4-6 p.m. at Smith Little Rock Funeral

Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.).  Services will be

Monday, July 13 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Mr. Dennis

Gulledge, Mr. Wayne Brewer and Mr. Noah Icenhour, followed by interment at

Collegeville Cemetery in Alexander.
