Cathie was born on March 27, 1946, and baptized in April of 1946. She attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and was confirmed in 1960. Cathie worked at P & G for many years. She married Dale on October 9, 1992.
Cathie was a founding member of Abiding Word. She served actively on the Women's Guild. She was mission minded, helping with the church's outreach programs, and sharing her faith with those she met.
Cathie enjoyed sewing, her herb garden, antiques, and her cats. She loved being around people, visiting with others and having company. She enjoyed helping other people.

"Cathie" was a very sweet and caring person. I first remember her as a freshman at MHS and enjoyed the later contacts we had as she was helping to plan reunion events for her class. Even with her own serious health issues, "Cathie" always continued to show concern for others. In one e-mail contact we had not too many weeks before her death, "Cathie" indicated her feelings for a member of the class who had not been located. She mentioned how she hoped this person was safe, warm and protected from the elements on what was then a cold evening. If caring and thinking of others is what God wishes from us - and I think He does - then "Cathie" was certainly His outreach on Earth. We are most certainly better off for having had her in our lives.

God bless our beautiful Cathie. She made a difference in so many lives. Including mine. She was one of the sweetest classmates I had in high school. She always had time for me, was kind and made me feel like I belonged. Freshman year is a defining time in life. My coming into a school where most of the students had already been together most, if not all, of their lives, caused my normally outgoing self to be a little shy. She had the knack of never making me feel like the new kid. I am not surprised she went into the Outreach. I am sad she is passed but I am heartened to know she is in a wonderful place. God be with her loved hers as their lives go forward.
