Steve was a great Police officer. The last time we talked we joked about his escapade being dragged along the streets of the city holding on to the steering wheel of a wanted chap. He had reached in to grab the guy's keys and shut off the engine, and his wedding ring got caught on the truck keys. The guy took off with Steve waving like a flag. It made the papers. Anyone know how Steve died? Mike Boys

Steve Keeton was a man among boys.  When we played football, Steve was always a guy you could look up to.  He was tough on the field but a good friend and mentor off the field.  It does not surprise me at all that he was a Navy Seal and a highly-respected police officer.  I would have expected no less from Steve.  I am very saddened to have learned of his passing.  He was definitely a guy that you could not only respect, but also admire.  My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife, Karen, and all their family members.
