Sheryl, age 67, passed away in her home after a courageous eight year battle with breast cancer. She was born in Hanford and raised on a dairy in Madera which fostered her love for animals.  She graduated from Madera High and attended Merced Junior College. She was employed by several physicians in the Fresno community. Sheryl was a loyal member of the Central Valley Corvette Club for twenty-one years and rarely missed a club social event. She is survived by her mother, Gloria DeMello of Fresno; her sister Jan DeMello-Pflepsen and her husband Gary; and nephews Mike and Vince Salazar and their families.
