
Mrs. Lois Gayle Copeland Davis, age 58, of Madison, passed away on Friday, October 22, 2010 at her residence. She was born on March 9, 1952 in Madison, the daughter of Alva D. and Helen June Buchele Copeland.
Mrs. Copeland Davis graduated from Madison Consolidated High School in 1970. She currently worked at Clifty Inn as a waitress. She had formerly worked at Grote Industries for fourteen years, and Pardners Restaurant in Hanover for several years. She was a former member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church near Canaan, and a member of the Madison Moose Lodge. She was a NASCAR fan, and her favorite driver was Jeff Gordon. She was also an Elvis fan since childhood, and enjoyed traveling, Bingo and especially her granddaughter.
Survivors include her son, Adam Troy Davis of Madison; one granddaughter, Zoie Elizabeth Davis; three sisters: Sharon Shields and Phyllis Shelton, both of Madison, and Karen Callis, Bedford, Kentucky; four brothers: Nathan Gene Copeland, Ronald Neal Copeland, and Lonny Alan Copeland, all of Madison, and Alva Wayne Copeland of North Vernon, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Christine Lynne Copeland in 1970.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Zoie Elizabeth Davis Education Fund. Memorial envelopes are available at the funeral home.
