Brenda died in April 2009. I remember near the last reunion we received an email from her (living in Noblesville) and she wanted to hear from her old classmates. I regret now that I didn't continue that communication. I remember Brenda as always being very nice and usually happy.
Brenda was my neighbor on Montclair St. We had lots of fun as kids and I loved her mom and dad. Maybe you remember Mr. Walker and his jokes. They were never funny, but you laughed anyway because HE found them so funny. Brenda's mom helped me sew but I just never got the hang of it. Thank God for my seamstress!!! When I found out Brenda became a nurse, I could not help but think of how goofy she could be and what kind of nurse would she make. I have no doubt she did well and I pray she had kind nurses too. Love ya Brenda

We laughed at his jokes so we wouldn't get any more "licks from his paddle Old Betsy" than what he would already give us on a regular basis!!Oh, the days of corporal punishment in school!!!
