In Memory

Brooke Demaree

Brooke Breshelle Demaree, age 50 of Madison, Indiana, entered this life on June 25, 1972 in Madison, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of Jack R. and Sandra Darbro Demaree. A lifelong resident of Jefferson County, Brooke graduated from Madison Consolidated High School in 1991. Before graduating from high school, she was united in marriage to Robert "Rob" Foley. Together they ran the Indian Trails Restaurant in Canaan. At the age of 12, Brooke was diagnosed with diabetes which eventually led to loss of sight and a kidney transplant. Determined to overcome the obstacle of being blind, she went to work for the Madison Apothecary bringing a little home cooking to their customers. She later worked at River Valley Resources, Inc., Work One, and Lowe's. Brooke was passionate about helping others. She counseled those who shared similar disabilities. She had a good heart and was always willing to help people. Having to go back on dialysis, she was still productive. Brooke made wreaths, rugs, and her famous "Suds in a Bucket". With the help of her service dog Roscoe, she accomplished many things. Her positive attitude and ability to make people laugh will be remembered by many. Brooke was a member of the Madison VFW Post No. 1969 Auxiliary and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially with her great niece, Maddie. Brooke died suddenly on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at 8:30 a.m. at her home in Madison, Indiana.
