Kathy A. Foley Stringer, 49, of Napoleon, formerly of Canaan, died Sunday, October 10, 2004 at her residence. She was born September 12, 1955 in Jefferson County the daughter of Ralph William "Bill" Foley and Maxine Fowler Foley. She married John Michael Stringer on January 29, 1977 and he survives.
Other survivors include her mother, Maxine Foley of Canaan, one daughter, Donah Stringer of Napoleon, three sisters, Karen Rowlett and husband Terry, Katie Lockridge and husband Jeff, Kim Watson and husband Danny, all of Canaan, her mother-in-law, Carolyn Stringer of Greensburg, one brother-in-law, Pat Stringer of Lake Santee, six aunts, Maxine Gordon of Madison, Mary Ann Tobias of Kent, Joanne Pendleton of Colorado Springs, CO, Betty Moore of Sandusky, Margie Carl of Greensburg, Wanda Ralston of Letts, two uncles, Dickie Rigby and wife Shirley of Greensburg, Silas Rigby of Napoleon and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph William "Bill" Foley on September 5, 2000, one daughter, Carolyn Maxine Stringer on May 24, 1989 and her father-in-law, John Stringer in June of 2003.
Mrs. Stringer was a native of Jefferson County community, growing up on the family farm near Canaan. She was a 1973 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School. Kathy had lived in the Napoleon community for the past 18 years and had worked the past five years at GECOM in Greensburg. Kathy was a member of the St. Maurice Catholic Church in Napoleon. She had formerly worked in the catering business, which showed in her continuing love for cake decorating.
Visitation will be held today, Tuesday, October 12, 4-8 p.m. (slow time) at Morgan-Webster-Nay Funeral Home in Madison and also Wednesday, October 13, 9-11 a.m. at the funeral home. Rosary services will be held Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 13, 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Todd officiating. Burial will be in the Grandview Memorial Gardens in Madison.
