Anna Lou Riadon, 83, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN.
She was born on June 25, 1941, in Madisonville, KY, to the late Edmon Riadon and Sarah Woodruff Riadon. She graduated at the top of her class from Madisonville High School and earned a degree in math education from Murray State University and a master’s degree from Peabody College. For a decade she taught math in high school and college, and then for thirty-one years she served as a claims representative for the Social Security Administration. After her father died, she was a devoted companion to her mother until the latter’s death ten years ago. All her life she was a member of the Madisonville Church of Christ, where her father served as an elder. She was an active member of several local organizations, such as Business and Professional Women’s Club (serving as its president), the Historical Society of Hopkins County, the Hopkins County Genealogical Society, and AARP. She always looked forward to sharing pizza with her many nieces and nephews and taking them to The Dairy Queen.
Survivors include her sisters, Lealice Brown and Judy Gallagher, both of Madisonville; nieces, Julie (Pat) Sikora and Elaine (Nathan) Brown; nephews, Tim (Renee) Isenberg; Dave (Megan) Isenberg; Ed (Jodi) Gallagher; seventeen great nieces and nephews; and two great-great nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 16, 2025, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Russell Kline and Dr. Ed Gallagher officiating. Burial to follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville.
A visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until the funeral hour on Sunday at the funeral home.
The pallbearers are Tim Isenberg, Dave Isenberg, Adam Riley, Eli Brown, Bob McElvain, and Jared Lee.
