
Robert (Bob) Wayne Dutton, lived in Clay, Webster County, Ky. He was 73 when he died Jan. 28, 2014, at the Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson, Ky. "Dutton," as he was called in high school, was in the U.S. Marine Corps after high school. He had been a coal miner and worked at Island Creek Coal. He retired from Consolidated Coal, and was a member of United Mine Workers of America Local 1605.
Bob was a member of Lone Star Pentecostal Church of Madisonville, Ky, and the American Legion. Bob was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family. He was preceded in death by his father and mother William Andon and Nellie Francis, as well as a brother, Guy Dutton.
Dutton is survived by wife Edith Dutton; two Sons: DeWayne Mark Allen Dutton and Brian Thomas Dutton, both of Clay. Also surviving him are three sisters: Marilyn Marks and Anna Lee Hendricks both of Madisonville, and Sara Harper and husband Jerry of Slaughters. He has two grandchildren: Bethany Ashton Dutton and Brock Andon Dutton of Clay.
Funeral services were Jan. 31, 2014, at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay, with Rev. Shelly Hendricks officiating. Burial was in Oddfellows Cemetery in Clay, with military rites conducted at grave site.
