
Army. Vietnam War. “He was born on April 11, 1940, and joined the United States Air Force at NASHVILLE, TN. He served in the USAF four years as a medic at Nellis, AFB, NV. While in LAS VEGAS, NV, and after being discharged from the USAF, he enlisted in the U. S. Army and served as a 91B10, a medic. In 6 years of service, he attained the rank of SP5/E5. On March 26, 1969, at the age of 28, CARLOS WILSON RUCKER perished in the service of our country in South Vietnam,Khanh Hoa.”

This photo shows the Kentucky House Resolution about Buddy. It is hanging on the wall in Old MHS near the gym. It is placed on the same wall with the names of Maroons who served in World War II and Korea.
