Polly Hope Young, 77, of Madisonville passed away Sun., March 10, 2019, at Baptist Health Madisonville. She was born July 26, 1941, in Sardis, Miss., to the late Elouise and Wilson Maston Hope. Polly was formerly employed with Regional Medical Center in Madisonville and was of the Methodist faith. She enjoyed writing poems and dearly loved her pets and mingling with people; she never met a stranger. 

She also was preceded in death by her husband, June Elbert Young; and her brother, Butch Hope. She is survived by her sons, Steve (Lisa) Young of Calhoun; John D. Young of Madisonville; a sister, Bonnie Moore of Joplin, MO; a brother, Larry (Sarah) Hope of Ridgeland, Miss.; two granddaughters, Hilary (Matt) Vandiver of Calhoun; Mary Young of CA; a grandson, Kyle (Carmen) Young of St. Louis; and several nieces and nephews.

The memorial service was held Thur. March 14, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Chap. Pat Dew officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Madisonville. Visitation was from 2 p.m. until the service hour Thur. at the funeral home.
