John "Scott" McGaw, 65, of Fairhope, Alabama and formerly of Madisonville,Ky., died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006, at his residence. He was born to Nathan Scott and Ann Worshanl McGaw.
He was a practicing attorney in Madisonville for over 20 years. He was Madisonville city attorney. He was active in St. Mary's Episcopal Church, Boy Scouts of America and the prison ministry.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia S. Harbaugh of Fairhope; one daughter, Margaret McGaw Switzer; one son, John Scott McGaw Jr.; one brother, Barrett Hambleton McGaw; stepchildren, Kevin Ming, Coby Ming and Colin Ming; and five grandchildren.
A private funeral service was held Dec. 17 at Holy Spirit Episcopal Church in Gulf Shores, Ala. Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. in Fairhope was in charge of the arrangements.
