Jay passed away September 23, 2014.  He was born September 17, 1942 in Indianapolis and grew up in Madisonville.  He was a graduate of Murray State University, married in 1964, served 41 years in the military/civil service and retired in Virginia.  Always a patriot and a proud American, he was honored to serve his country.

Jay was preceded in death by his father, Randall; and sister Jody.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sue; his children John, Mark, Ange and spouses; five grandchildren; mother Doris; sisters Beth and Suzy; and  brother-in-law John Whitmer.

Visitation will be September 28 at Amory Funeral Home, Yorktown Virginia.  Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Chester, Virginia.
