Eddie and I were in the same homeroom our senior year, and he told me early on that he planned to be a priest. I told him, somewhat joking, that if he did become a priest, I wanted him to marry me someday. I attended Eddie's ordination in June of 1972; the next day he married David and me in my back yard. I loved Eddie and feel very sad that he has left this earth. Rest in peace, sweet Eddie Garrigan.
